Oh this was a joy to watch. There is no beating Shapiro in a debate, because he ALWAYS comes with FACTS. So funny watching these kids spew their "feelings", while he shuts it down with logic and facts.

This is why these spoiled college kids are throwing tantrums and violently destroying property. The days when a president will not only let, but help them progress their baseless views and "feelings" driven crap, ARE OVER.

It's funny to watch so-called "democrats" preaching about "democracy" and trying to break it at the same time.

Beautifully stated. BEAUTIFULLY.

What do you call a person that suffers from delusions and hallucinations?

Better yet, explain how it is not a delusion? Or you do you subscribe to the idea that all perception is reality?
Hallucinations? Wow. Just wow. You seem to know even less on the subject that I originally thought! And ironically probably less than most kids in the schools that this subject is about! I think that book list just got a bit longer. A semester class is now needed: Transgender 101. :D

Popular vote solves that. The current system is weighted to give people in some states more of a voice than others. One person, one vote ... it's simple.

Do you think a democrat gets a voice in Texas or a republican gets a voice in California ? With the EC, they don't.

No it does not. We are a REPUBLIC. Look up readily available definitions of "republic" and "democracy". If a popular was our way, we would not only NOT be a republic, but our nation would be mob rule. YOU don't want that. Go live in a country with mob rule and you'll come back begging for an electoral college.

As to your question. There is a difference between a president of united STATES, and a Governor of a state, which is why our REPUBLIC is supposed to keep power in the states. Where were you during civics? This is simple stuff!

Good, the government needs to stay out of bathrooms. The rights of 0.4% of the population don't trump individual rights of the majority because they have a gender identity problem.

This was a very one sided debate of someone who actually is educated and knows the facts versus someone someone who thinks they are right..... it's like to see Ben in debates with actually informed people and not emotional people . Though good link, did not know about his guy, will YouTube him

It's bizarre that so many people on here think that Apple doesn't have any social responsibility. Company's have a huge social impact, and Apple is a large part of the community, so they should be involved with these things.

Apples say has the potential to make some peoples lives better, which I'm all for.

Why? How many elections would have turned out differently? A handful? Most of the time the EC and popular vote line up. Republicans are just freaked out and desperately trying to hold onto it because they keep losing the popular vote and are afraid they'd never take the White House again. I think such fears are a bit overblown, but it's clear the issue bothers them.

Maybe have better policies so you do win the popular vote? Maybe don't discriminate against people? There's an idea.

Funny how Apple is so quick to speak on political issues, but silent on even acknowledging their products MANY shortcomings - especially as of late - exactly what kind of company are they trying to be?

Tim Cook is too busy trying to make Apple a pretentious 'movement' to even care about the shitey products they produce.

You know that Russia has "one man, one vote" system, right?

Why do you support Putin?

If you want to argue it's a delusion (that goes on a lifetime) then present your psychology degree, peer reviewed studies, and make your case. The hallucination part and calling people (who again are on this forum) mentally ill was a bit much and a bridge too far.

So you support an unbalanced system that gives some people more voice than others ? Reminds me of another insane idea I have heard from the GOP. More money = more voice.

No.

They'll probably eventually get around to rolling things back to when you had to own property to vote. Ah...the good ol' days.

There was a time where this same argument was used to support racially segregated bathrooms. What about handicap accessible stalls ? A majority of people don't need them.

Should the government also stay out of the bathroom with regulations that require businesses to keep them clean ? What about charging you a fee to use a bathroom ? Remember those days ?

Your blanket statement suggesting the government should stay out of bathrooms is very short sighted.

Trans people have been in the bathrooms for a *VERY* long time. It has never been an issue and really isn't an issue. We just want to use them for their intended purpose. It only became an issue with the GOP realized it lost the fight on equal marriage. It's just the next item on the list of removing the rights of LGBT.

I wonder, where did you get that impression, liberal media?

His and staff's latest comments and actions are quite anti-Russian. And he never said anything supportive towards Putin.

But hey, CNN says he supports Putin, then it should be true.
It's a joke. Hence the :D located conveniently at the end of my post.

Although you are completely mistaken about him and his administration being supportive. He has praised Putin a number of times and there was talk of reversing the sanctions. But that is off topic. No need to discuss further. There are plenty of PRSI topics on the subject to post that discussion on.

Just one I found.

He tends to jump on any major social issue that makes the news

Had the democrats won , would you be complaining about the system?

This is an issue globally with democracy, it's not based on popular vote , it's based on seats that make up the government . The system is not broken only when your party looses.

When you come to an election the goal posts are not moving, you know what you need to win. I'm no trump fan, but he won fair .

And you cannot have democracy by popular vote when voting is not compulsory in my opinion.

I feel really sad when I read some of the posts here.
As the partner of a Transgendered Woman I know at first hand the bigotry of some people towards people like her.

She has even been threatened with being outed as a MALE Paedo despite her having had that part of her body removed almost 20 years ago. That can't be right. The threat of her being arrested for not having an ID that corresponds to the one given to her at Birth (the toilet law conundrum) and thrown into a MALE Holding cell is enough to make her never want to set foot in her country of birth again (She's from Nebraska).
Just try to imagine for a moment you were her and it happened to you?

Well done Tim and Apple for standing up to the neanderthals in Politics.

A lot of the commenters on here hold the belief that is simply their allowed political opinion to discriminate against others. It is revolting.

I am very sorry to hear about your partner's experiences.
