You would think. But, do you really know the processes behind any of it. You'd be surprised how many big companies have things that are loosely stuck together and patched to get them working. I worked for some bigger companies in the past, and they do the same crap code that smaller companies do to get problems solved.Apple's become a well oiled behemoth since then. Rollouts should have minimal if any hiccups. Totally different company than back in the 3G days.
EDIT: Ok, I quoted the wrong post. This was a reply to #108. Probably the Apple Store's fault...It took about four tries; guessing the demand is high for the Digital Island...
I don't think the terminology really matters. I ordered 2 iPhones today; 1 says express delivery (iPhone 14) and the other (iPhone Pro 14) says standard delivery. Only important thing is both have Fri, 9/16 as delivery dates. Was standard delivery the only option or was there an express delivery option?
Same here. Kept on crashing. Looked at it as a sign.Yep, 20 minutes of errors, shipping dates slipped to October, changed my mind and not buying the 14 Pro afterall 😐
It didn't work for me until I woke up and realized I overslept.Didn't work for me until I turned off WiFi on my phone.
Now that you say it, I wasn’t able to confirm my order until I was outside with my iPhone 🤔Didn't work for me until I turned off WiFi on my phone.
FOMO. Fear of not getting 9/16 delivery.Scared? Scared of what?
They can only bring on so much bandwidth at a time; guessing they are using a lot of AWS servers right now... It looks like demand is higher then than they planned...Apple's become a well oiled behemoth since then. Rollouts should have minimal if any hiccups. Totally different company than back in the 3G days.
Lucky. Slipped into 16 October here. **** em. Honestly.Yup, App finally loaded at 8 minutes after. Continually crashed and stalled so I moved to my laptop. Finally finished putting in my order for 14 Pro 256's in Black and Purple. Still got a Sept 16th in store pickup but good lord this was the worst pre-order experience in awhile. What's up, Apple?
