Yep, 20 minutes of errors, shipping dates slipped to October, changed my mind and not buying the 14 Pro afterall 😐

Anything connected with VZW was a disaster this morning. Verizon's web site says I'm eligible to upgrade, then says I can't. Apple's web site says it can't work through Verizon due to technical issues.

After a lot of very slow errors, I got through to selecting a launch day pickup time in store. Then it errored out and pickup was unavailable and now shipping dates are into middle of October (which I won’t do anyway because of theft risk).

I just decided not to order. My 7+ lives to fight another day.

I gave up. Now that the ship dates are slipping to mid October, I may as well just wait it out for now, or hang on to my 12PM for another 12 months and then go with whatever iPhone comes after. Maybe move away from carrier based financing and do Apple's program instead. Thirty six months with VZW is absolutely ridiculous anyway, and I gotta be honest, Verizon isn't the star of the show anymore. I've had lots of coverage issues with VZW lately and I'm giving serious consideration to switching.

Verizon has really become a hot mess, and they better get their cat box lumps together, or the other carriers are gonna eat their kibble....

Yup, App finally loaded at 8 minutes after. Continually crashed and stalled so I moved to my laptop. Finally finished putting in my order for 14 Pro 256's in Black and Purple. Still got a Sept 16th in store pickup but good lord this was the worst pre-order experience in awhile. What's up, Apple?
 
I just came here to watch all the over-privileged adult-childs (chults?) cry and scream about having to wait a few extra weeks to replace the completely capable pocket computer they already have so they can watch TikTok that much harder.

Talk about first world problems...
Right? It's a Walmart, Black Friday rehearsal.
 
big issues here on west coat! wouldn't complete order, take payment, froze, 20 min before date of silver slipped into mid October! Got it on 16th for pick up in Portland.... silver lining, no tax?

Well ****... Said error please try again later so I did.. now I have two coming. Somehow second order is not viewable or registered to my ID and I can't cancel it. too much for 1am apple
 
It took about four tries; guessing the demand is high for the Digital Island...
 
Did the pre pre order, approved for monthly payments etc. Straight in at around minute or so past the hour, onto checkout. But it wouldn’t let me proceed, kept throwing an error with my phone number on the shipping info. Regardless of what I inputted as my phone number, it would not proceed. This is despite placing many orders on the app previously.

Support absolutely useless. Delivery dates had slipped by this point, so had to change to collection in store, which managed to secure for launch day, but is a real pain.
 
A complete failure for me. Had a pre-approved iPhone on finance, went through the app as soon as the store opened but it wouldn't accept my phone number on the shipping page. Tried the website and the submit button on the final page doesn't work, it just spins a bit then stops. I was on the fence about this upgrade but now I'm giving up
 
I haven't been able to order yet. T-Mobile is trowing an error every time I try to verify my T-Mobile account with Apple. This sucks big time......
 
The last five minutes for the countdown to order seemed like an hour. And the last 55 minutes past the time to order has seemed like 5 minutes.
 
I got in eventually but slipped way into mid-October for delivery so cancelled. No big deal. Will keep what I have until the 13 Pro appears in the refurb store. Still a good upgrade from my 11.

If you want to know a struggle to order, try ordering a PS5 the year it was released.
Site says we're going live with sales in 1 min. 1:01 min after going live sold out and there was no well we'll ship it two weeks after release option either.
 
Ordered a 14 Pro Max 512/black. Took 5 min to get in. It said initially 9-16, but when I went to check on order it now says 9-28 to 10-3. Anyone else see this happen?

I noticed a problem last night with the phone number in the shipping details and called tech support who said it was a bug and logged it as a bug.
Basically the shipping details when ordering don’t copy the phone number through from your cloud account shipping details. I tried to enter it manually, but no matter what telephone number I tried to enter, it kept coming up with a message saying “error processing your request please try later”. As I said tech support have logged it as a bug. Tried again today and still no luck and so I had to go through the web to order my phone. That went through cleanly with no problems.

It took some brute force, but I was able to pre-order through AT&T. Apple wouldn't give me anything for my iPhone 12 Pro because the back had a crack in it. AT&T offered me a free upgrade as an existing customer.
 
Just got my confirmation email. Still says delivering on the 16th.
Still doubting it but let’s hope it doesn’t change.
And still got to go to the Apple Store to pick up an Apple Watch on the 16th 🤣.
