2 years ago, I ordered 2 phone … 1 Pro and 1 Pro Max. Wanted the Pro, not the Max but chose the wrong one as I was trying to be as quick as possible.
Couldn’t cancel the order as the functionality was down on the website, and couldn’t do anything until after it was to late (and it was pretty quick. Order was already preparing for shipment in the evening of the preorders). Had to pay for both and wait for Apple to give my money back.

And I almost preordered 2 this time too 😅

Does AT&T's website update delivery dates? It still shows 9/16 delivery
 
Yep, 20 minutes of errors, shipping dates slipped to October, changed my mind and not buying the 14 Pro afterall 😐
You do you but I don't understand planning to buy a product and then deciding not to because it'll take a little longer. Did you ever really want it then?
 
Has anyone else gotten this issue:

When trying to order a phone for pickup, goes through all the prompts and then says due to Covid 19 pickup is unavailable (after it shows available for all nearby stores).

Try to re-order and again, it allows pickups at multiple locations, of course later times, but same error
 
Very relieved I got mine with no issues… Pro Max 256GB in Space Black, arriving 16 Sep.
 
Well I guess mine went through…I got emails. Every time I tried to pay I got an error but Ive been getting that a lot with ApplePay recently…but of course because it kept having issues date slipped to 9/26-10/3…att shows I now have a $1099 balance for my line on device so fingers crossed it’s gone through and just will charge my Apple Card later 🤷🏻‍♂️
 
I preordered mine to pick up in store and I do not know how, it switch to delivery at home. I even pick up the times and my favorite store.
Had the same thing happen when trying to preorder. Pickup was selected but it was asking for delivery address.
 
I ordered two on two different orders. The Black 14 Pro Max is October. The app failed again and again, but the website let me check out easily. Then the Purple 14 Pro is initial day of delivery and Apple Pay worked.

Then I ordered AiPods Pro 2.

And none of them show up on my order history, nor are there any emails. I did grab screen grabs of confirmations so I will wait and see if they show up.

This was a really terrible process. The last two were tap-tap-go back to bed and this one failed at every junction - calling up preorders, checkout, Apple Pay...
 
There are at times up to 3 parties at play. My guess is Apple opened up the "get ready" option because citizen bank couldn't handle the flood of credit application requests.

That being said, come launch day, Apple's systems need to communicate with carrier systems. I wouldn't solely place blame on Apple for all of the issues people are seeing.
 
Apple store app wouldn’t allow pickup after it gave me options then it wouldn’t allow pickup then the delivery had already slipped to October 3-10 and the store wouldn’t load until 5:49 am. What a joke. Lost my faith in Apple to deliver timely. I will probably cancel my order. I was trying to order a 14 Pro Max in Gold with 512K

Messed up my first order of a 14 P and 14 PM, so I made a second order right after. Both orders worked and all four iPhones are set to arrive on release day. Gonna cancel the first one when they allow me to...
 
Welp… wanted two but now have four coming because of all the errors and no confirmation. Will have to cancel the two when it lets me. What a waste of 45min I can never get back…

After repeated attempts to purchase with no success the final error message said, “go **** yourself!”


I’ll need therapy after this experience

Worst ordering experience ever. 6-7 min after the alleged opening I got into the store on Apple's app (iPad). Went through the ordering but couldn't accept my phone number. Server error.

Great.

Reloaded website, finally got in. Order again. Only pickup available. Delivery slipped. Great. So I chose pickup. MAYOR lags everyhwere. Each time I picjked a pickup time and location and went to pay it errored out "time slot already taken". Over and over and over again at all six Apple stores in town. Honestly the worst f thing I've experienced in 15 years ordering.

So I changed it back to delivery. Time slipped again already into Mid-OCTOBER.

Well great. Thanks alot for letting me wait 5-6 weeks because you're too f stupid to run a webshop in 2022. Seriously. **** you Apple. If I didn't have a trade in I wouldn't even bother with you.

I just came here to watch all the over-privileged adult-childs (chults?) cry and scream about having to wait a few extra weeks to replace the completely capable pocket computer they already have so they can watch TikTok that much harder.

It is also a privilege to be able to make this comment, of course. It is a first world privilege to be able to complain or lecture others about first world problems. Not really taking a side. Just commenting on the irony that I wish people saying "first world problems" should be aware of. And it is the attitude that always demands more and better that is a significant factor in propelling a society to become "first world" in the first place.

Did the pre pre order, approved for monthly payments etc. Straight in at around minute or so past the hour, onto checkout. But it wouldn’t let me proceed, kept throwing an error with my phone number on the shipping info. Regardless of what I inputted as my phone number, it would not proceed. This is despite placing many orders on the app previously.

Support absolutely useless. Delivery dates had slipped by this point, so had to change to collection in store, which managed to secure for launch day, but is a real pain.
I’m having the same issue. How did you fix
 
I couldn't get in the store, kept saying be back soon or some such thing. Meanwhile both my wife and daughter got in right away and got their phones. 10 minutes later it finally opened for me and my delivery date is pushed to the 28th.

However that happened to my wife in years past and despite the delivery date 2 weeks later it ended up delivery after only 1 week. So fingers crossed.
 
I placed the order, got the conformation on the screen, but I never got an email and I have not been billed for it. I do have the QR code on my wallet to display when I want to pick it up.
