Apple Store Experiencing Issues With iPhone 14 Pre-Orders

I got in a little after 8am EST (they never let you in right at 8, so I'm used to having to do the force close-reopen-repeat dance) and got through my order and stuff without any issues. Only quirk was that it said delivery on 9/16 when I ordered, and then the confirmation email said 9/23. Regardless, I can be patient and wait until 9/23 if I have to. Hopefully it gets bumped up to launch day, but we'll have to see....

I caved in and tried to pre-order. Same issues as many and delivery slipped to October 10. This Pre-order process attempt was a mess for me...reminded me of 6 Plus, that was kind of a nightmare also.

Forget it, not stressing over it. I may have better luck going into one of the stores around here and getting one next Friday, or perhaps the week of the 19th. The 13 Pro Max trade in shouldn't drop by then🤷🏻‍♂️
 
Date slipped for me to the Oct. 3-10 window. A week I will be out of town, of course. Any chance these ship earlier if you’re one in the non-launch window? I do not want to deal with having to re-route a delivery. This is the first time I’ve had issues in years on pre-order day.
 
What the hell. I ordered the phone, chose pickup on the 16th. Now I get an email showing it is being shipped to an old address.
 
The site was about 4-5 minutes late in opening where I live. But once it was, my pre configured pre-order was ready to go and I was able to complete it quickly and without hickups. I ended up with a black 14 Pro and 256GB of RAM to replace my similarly configured 13 Pro.

Yes, it is actually likely they ship/arrive earlier.
 
quick question regarding ordering. I got my preorder through and had a $500 apple card. For some reason it defaulted to use my credit card for the full amount leaving my giftcard unused. Can I use the card during pickup?
 
Monumental fk up, 2 pre orders wouldn’t process, spent 30 mins going round in circles, gave up in the end, I’m not going to even bother completing the pre order now, I’ll cancel them. Would rather stand in line early on Friday and try my luck.

Thank goodness I’m still able to pick it up on 09/16. 😃

I am pretty sure any payment using Apple Pay failed. I had to check out as a guest and punch in my credit card manually to get through the checkout process. Logging in to my account and using Apple Pay just hung. I was using desktop safari on my MacBook. All the while my delivery dates slipped into October.

I am not in a rush though. My iPhone 11 Pro Max works just fine and still looks new

1hr and 12 mins later I still can’t place my order, getting this absolutely useless error. Seems to also be complaining about my phone number, which hasn’t changed for years and was seemingly fine when I did the pre-pre-ordering yesterday. I can’t go elsewhere because I’ve already do the finance
 
I used the ’get ready for pre-order‘ setup last night and it worked surprisingly well. Left the store website opened on my MacBook and opened it at 6am MST. Saw the be right back screen and refreshed every 30 seconds until about 6:05. Once it let me in, I clicked on my shopping cart and the “iPhones ready for pre-order” and it had all my selections loaded and I just had to confirm checkout.

I got lucky With it being pretty easy!

I suggest trying this get ready for pre-order process to y’all for the future.

Ordered 14 Pro Max 256 Black. Exact same thing happened to me! Exact same date slippage! Used Apple Store App from iPhone 13 Pro to order. I did pre-order yesterday. Couldn‘t get into store until a few minutes past. Order confirmation went relatively quick with a small hesitation before order confirmation screen.

Mine didn’t asked nothing, just time and store. Then, when I opened the confimation email it says it will be delivered on release date (Friday). 🙃

I did the "Get Ready" thing in the app last night before going to sleep, just before the window closed. Got up early and got to work just as 8am ET rolled up; Was disappointed that it took 10min for the app and site to open up (for me anyway). But when it did, I found the process pretty smooth, other than I got an error after my first try; I tried again and it said it went through on the app and that I should get an email. Well, the order didn't show up on my orders page and the email didn't come through for nearly 20 more minutes... I was in a bit of a panic and figured I would wait an hour and if it still hadn't gone through, I would order another and just deal with the increased shipping times. This is my first new phone since the launce of the iPhone X and mine is in sorry shape. But eventually, the email came through, confirming the order, with an arrival date of 9/16. I'm so excited!! 14 Pro in Deep Purple with 256gb.

I’m in exactly the same boat. No idea how to fix. I was in the app completing my preorder after about 2 mins but can’t get past this error.

I kept getting credit card failures when using Apple's CC. Still don't have one ordered.
