I think it’s pretty obvious Apple is bringing these out in waves to the AppleStores per configuration. First the standard tilt about everywhere then sold out in a couple days. Now the nano tilt but it’s not selling very well as it’s still avail quite well and it’s been about 4 days. I’m hoping next will be the standard height/tilt this week.

Got mine on Friday, paired with an M1 Mac Mini. I am upgrading from a late 2013 iMac (refurbished, purchased in 2015) - the display on that is a 2560x1440 resolution, I believe, so this is a major jump in terms of clarity, sharpness, and general "pop" of everything on the screen.

The webcam is indeed kinda eh, but I don't plan on using it that much. It would still be welcomed if a future update helps the quality, but it's perfectly fine for my uses.

I've kept the True Tone and automatic brightness adjustment on for now and the display still looks great under the different lighting conditions of the room, although I intend to do some photo editing on this machine and will swap to a different color profile for that.

The speakers are pretty good, as others have said - definitely better than any built-in speakers that I can think of. The spatial audio effect is done well, but voice and music without that effect still sounds solid. The low-end does remind me that the sound is coming out of a monitor vs a sub or woofer, while the mids and higher end are a bit more impressive. I also have the Harman Kardon SoundSticks III connected to the Mini and those sound fuller/richer/overall "better" but no surprise there. I will say that the built-in speaker quality is good enough that I am still contemplating handing down the SoundSticks to a family member to free up some space. If I want to do more serious listening, I have other speakers or over-ear headphones.

I got the tilt stand, which is completely fine for me based on my desk and chair height (and my height, I'm 5'9".) I don't hear any weird whirring, buzzing, or anything from the monitor - dead quiet. It looks good, doesn't slide around on my desk but then again I'm not really touching it. Bezels are a nice size, but I'm not really picky about bezels.

Is it worth the price? Maybe. I'm probably the average user, doing personal browsing, music, video, and some office work, along with RAW image editing for funsies. There are probably cheaper options for me, but I intend to keep this monitor long-term vs having to chuck a full iMac once the insides go, so I think in the long-run it will save me money. Debating getting a 4K monitor to test against it, but I'm fortunate enough that the Studio Display price alone wasn't a deterrent if I decide to just keep it - just don't tell the non-techie wife what it cost, though 😳😅🤫

Just got mine (which was already pre-loaded with 15.4) and overall it is great, except I had a hard time finding the best position for webcam positioning and screen viewing with the tilt version (did a lot of adjusting of my chair and standing desk) and while the speakers are definitely better than any other built-in speakers I've had, I was a bit let down (maybe the reviews hyped them up too much).

I've been using the default 2560x1440 with my M1 MBA and wondering whether there are any downsides to going with the 'More Space' (2880x1620) if I like the smaller font/visuals?

The camera on the Studio Display seems to be angled up way more than any of my previous iMacs. I just had my first Teams call using the Studio Display this morning, and had to tilt the screen down really far to not have my head off the bottom of the frame. Has anyone else experienced something similar?

I agree, and it seems it can be adjusted as Center Stage also seems to adjust along the vertical axis

I‘m using the ASD in full tilt and without Center Stage only half my face is visible, so for me activating that is a must (luckily it works with all the video conferencing tools I use, namely MS Teams & Google Meet).

It‘s a pity there seem to be no options to adjust the webcam beyond „Center Stage on/off“, but then again it‘s Apple – glad their solution works for me.

In my experience, very rarely does Apple deliver an item closer to the end of the delivery window than the beginning of the delivery window. Bummer that’s the case for me here but either way I’m excited.

Yes, generally Apple‘s shipping estimates are conservative. I guess the supply chain issues have changed that.

I had to return the first one I got due to a pretty major picture flickering issue. I had a replacement on order on Apple's site for a couple of weeks (with a delivery date estimate of early June!) but gave up when I noticed Best Buy had some in stock. When I was spring cleaning (how did I manage to get so many cables?!) I found an old Twelve South HiRise Pro that works well.

It's connected to a Mac Mini M1 (which is hidden in the HiRise under the display. I'm trying the built-in speakers for a bit to see how I adjust to them. Obviously, my Bose speakers sound noticeably better, but it would be great to get some space back.

I just ordered a BenQ ScreenBar Halo for one of my ASDs VESA. Not sure if yours is BenQ but does the screen bar blocks the ASD FaceTime camera?

Mine is the Xiaomi light bar, and yes, it does, which is why I'll probably remove it once Apple fixes the built-in web cam. There's barely 1/2 cm of distance between the top edge of the display and the camera.

This might be a dumb question, but do you mean you can get Center Stage to pan down? For that matter, how do you get Center Stage to even pan left and right? The image doesn't seem to move in any of my Teams calls so far.
