Has to be a cloud-related announcement...

Because the announcement and reveal is taking place... in. the. cloud.

if it is cloud based iTunes - People seem to have forgotten Lala acquisition.... No need to upload everything you have, cause they either already have it or some other people will upload it for you... so it will be just question of matching your library with cloud content... They just really want people to ditch their iPod Classics - since they dont even count it as an iPod anymore (see the last media event)...:((

It's very difficult to safely match songs in your library with those on the store.

You might have downloaded them illegally or ripped them from a friend's CD. Depending on how you do it, you could just fake it completely.

Nothing but iTunes Web...

Most certainly a iTunes for the Web because if you notice its says, ; 'Check back HERE for an announcement FROM (not in or at) iTunes'. This imply's that you would proberly have to check on Apple's Site rather than through the iTunes app itself; This also explains the set international times in the US and UK too.

Just another odd theorem

Kinda Surprised and excited :D

Well the fact that they replaced the MacBook Air image with this message, along with removing every other thing from the bottom of the page, means that this is going to be something huge...

Facebook integration would not be huge enough, neither would 90 sec previews.

So this either has to be cloud-based iTunes or something else that will totally change iTunes forever.

Can someone explain cloud based iTunes? I have no idea what this would be implamented for. There's no way Apple is going to store my 60gb's of music on their servers to stream.

Assuming that your 60GB of music was all purchased from iTunes (which I'm guessing it wasn't), then Apple already has it on a server somewhere so streaming it isn't a big leap. It probably won't involve you uploading non-iTunes music to Apple for streaming.

Apple's data center

My guess is Apple is going to announce their data center is ready to go and they will give details on how they are going to use it.

"Tomorrow is just another day. That you'll never forget." "The funnest iPod ever." Is Apple in need of a middle school English teacher on staff or do they consider themselves superior to the English language? I'm guessing the latter.

Chillax.
You need to think different. :p

I always like how Apple does it's marketing announcements. Usually cryptic and unexpected. It's like watching a really good keep-you-on-the-edge-of-your-seat movie. :D

You mean like putting a Lion in the backdrop of an OS X logo with a tagline like: Back to Mac? ;)

Anyway, 10$ it's (finally) the new Powerbook G5!!!! OMG

Nothing gets uploaded!

Imagine every single song available for 10/15/20 a month. You won't be paying for 3 albums 4 albums etc you will have EVERY song available on the itunes library.

Seriously guys!? Spotify have done this for years.

What's the range like between Spotify and iTunes? iTunes seems like it lacks some labels and genres a bit, but for some reason I think Spotify might cover more.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/532.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Mobile/8B117 Safari/6531.22.7)

Beatles.

It won't be a cloud or subscription because that would require a new iTunes version and they just released 10.1 three days ago with no such support. Also doing a major iTunes cloud push will be a Steve keynote for sure. Adding Facebook to ping is not big enough for this promo.

This is going to be all the Beatles albums.
