Agreed. IMO, this will be the most internally expansive S model to date. IMO, many don't realize just how good a design the A9 is. :apple:

Yeah, the A9 with 2GB RAM will blow the A8 with only 1GB RAM away. There must have been some technical reason why Apple didn't increase the RAM with the 6/6 Plus like they did with the iPhone 4/5. They probably had planned the upgrade at some point during iPhone 6 development.

My friend, please don't blame yourself. Apple probably activated the hidden gravity trigger so that the phone spontaneously pulls itself towards the planets surface, in this case right into the toilet bowl that you were standing at. It's just another way of their mean "planned obsolescence" scheme.

i remember including , 4,4s, ipad 3 , and others

then still living , still working , still eat and this and that ...

I'm not eligible for an upgrade until September 22. Hopefully Verizon will let me upgrade a few weeks early as they've done in the past :)

Next is figuring out this whole new Verizon plan. Guess I'm paying monthly for my phone now instead of $299 (64 GB 6S+) + small substidary payments in the bill.

September 9th is going to be a big day. Too bad I'm not due for an upgrade until March. I'm probably going to wait for the iPhone 7. My 5s still has some gas on it with iOS 9.

When did Apple officially say this? If they did please tell me where Apple did so I can read this.

My point is this is all pure speculation and evidence based rumours till the event and Apple speaks officially.

They never do

So about those new iPhone colors...I am viewing everything on a Retina mini so I don't have full color gamut for shades of red. The pink looks kind of eggplant purple to me and the rose gold looks brown. Are those the colors everyone else is seeing?

I actually like what I'm seeing. But I kind of doubt either of those will be the new color. If there even is a new color. I'd really prefer a Product Red iPhone that looks the same shade as the new red iPod touch. Or deep blue like the iPhone touch blue.

The current $69 Apple TV has, if I recall correctly, 8GB of flash memory for buffering and OS. It shouldn't have a problem buffering an entire HD movie. Just don't hit "play" right away and let the buffering get well ahead of the playhead and you shouldn't hit mid-movie buffering delays.

This is a HUGE advantage over streaming-only boxes like Amazon's. Our internet connection gets slow sometimes, and Amazon's Fire Stick absolutely hates life when that happens. On the AppleTV we rarely notice it because it builds up a very long buffer while the connection is good (typically we see the traffic from the AppleTV end well before halfway through an HD movie, which means it gets over an hour ahead). But, if the bad connection happens right after starting a movie we just pause for about thirty seconds then start up again without problems.

That said, actual local storage of movies would be a bit unexpected although welcome. I do miss the 160GB drive of the first-gen boxes. But, for years now Apple's line has been that if you want to store movies locally like a caveman then you need to buy a Mac mini and hook that up to your TV (which I've heard works really well, but it isn't cheap).

Just use any computer with iTunes to home share to AppleTV.

New AppleTVs! That's what I wanted to hear about at the last keynote.

However, I seriously doubt it will be the day after Labor Day. Why would they do that when they could easily make it the week after?

Please oh please let the new Apple TV release me from the chains of my evil cable provider!

I'm praying for not another hobby announcement.
I said that awhile ago too. Got sick of waiting and have been dealing with a Hulu/HBO now and Netflix combo for some time now. I watch more tv now than when I had cable

the only reason they might do ipads and iphones at the same event would be if the ipads improvements are very minor. I guess this is possible but if true it would sadly also mean that the iPad Pro is not coming this year. as you say, if it's coming soon they'll definitely not want it to be overshadowed by the new iphones.

I'm hoping they release the iPad Pro because I would buy one and a new Apple TV, I've got the iPhone 6 Plus and I'm more than happy with it so not really a reason to upgrade my phone. I'm not sure how reliable these reports are but I've never heard of Apple releasing iPads at the same event has the iPhone, what would they have to announced in October apart from Macs, that would be a short event.

Of course I could be wrong and Apple could be planning to change it up, and as you say just small updates to the iPad. There could also be no iPad Pro but I'm hoping that's not the case.

I have patiently waited long enough and my iPhone 4 is in dire need of being replaced, so I am going to splash out on a new iPhone - not sure which of the two models yet - and perhaps a iPad mini if there is a version 4 :)

1. Plex
2. Plex
3. Plex

Getting an official Plex client instead of continuing with a hack such as PlexConnect was the reason I got myself a Nexus Player when YouTube stopped working on my 2nd generation Apple TV. If the App Store comes to the Apple TV with Plex included, I'll be getting the new Apple TV without any hesitation unless they go absolutely bonkers with the European pricing.
I didn't know what it is and I checked it out and it looks real cool. However, my guess is that iTunes will make it to your TV, with obnoxious thin fonts and white backgrounds. Plex looks way too good. But I'd be glad to be wrong on this.

The new Apple TV is the first Apple product in years that got me excited... first one since the trashcan Mac Pro that is. Phone-wise I am really into Android, if Google manage to split it into operating system update and separate skin update, so the fragmentation stops being so insane, it will be truly amazing. The Macbook with a single USB slot is a bad joke. Apple Music... well. No interest in Watch until they release 2nd gen and Android companion app. (That will happen right after hell freezes over.) But Apple TV with an App Store and touch remote? Someone suggested gaming, and if they either manage to rip Plex off convincingly or indeed allow it on the TV, I'm interested.

I wonder if the 6s+ will retain the slight camera and battery advantage over the 6s? if the battery advantage remains the + might be more attractive to me. If not I think I'd be happy with either.

This mandatory 20 hours of OT at work couldn't come at a better time. ATV and new iPhones for the wife and I are a must.
