Just noticed that the workout screen now shows both active and total calories.

New workout saved animation screen when you save the workout. This is much clearer since it would just go back to the workout screen before and you wouldn't know if it saved or not.

Whoa, I think, and I'm pretty sure I'm right, the 10 minute heart rate reading IS BACK in beta 5!

It now looks like it tries to read it (if it can't) a one minute before or after the 10 minute interval.

Check it out: it hasn't missed a single 10 minute interval, all the way from 9 in the morning to midnight today for me, but it read some a one minute after, and some one minute before the 10 minute interval. I haven't been sitting still either, I have been moving a lot today, and it still has every 10 minute (±1 minute) interval recorded.

Either way, I am extremely pleased that this is back!

Can anyone confirm this as well?

I took the plunge and so far so good. I did run into a problem where 3rd-party apps wouldn't launch, but found the fix was to unpair the Watch then re-pair and restore from backup.

-Nightstand mode is very cool. I wish you could customize the color.
-I wish they'd tweak the Workout screen a little more, I'd prefer to have the workout time, distance, and heart rate on the same screen, but there isn't a way to configure it this way.
-Glad to have the workout save confirmation now.
-I like how when browsing the app universe screen, you only have to press the home button once to go back to the watch face now (before it would center on the watch face icon then you'd have to press a 2nd time to go to the watch face).
-The photo album watch face is cool, but it would be nice to have a way to sync more than one album with different photos to use on the watch face.
-Time travel seems really cool, even just for quickly getting a reading on the temperature/appointments in the next few hours.
-It looks like the apple logo on the startup screen is smaller than the one in 1.0.

I like a lot of these ideas. Having all the workout data on the same screen would be great! I'll be submitting these to Apple.

Yep. I have it as well. Doesn't do anything but haven't even tried to test. Very impressed with this beta version. Love the few color choices on the utility screen. Wish the simple had some. Workout app save acknowledge is nice. Battery seems better than 1.0.1 actually.

After 10mins of being off the charger, with no use, dropped 1% of battery power

New in Beta 5, if you send a text message using Siri it will now automatically send when Siri is dismissed (deliberately or after time passes) rather than having to tap "Send". This now makes it possible to text people without needing a free hand (via "Hey Siri")

Sweet! I couldn't figure out how to get it to send, I even waited a few seconds, guess I didn't wait long enough.

Looks like the AirPlay screen is a work in progress.

Also, I noticed the calendar events are now shaded (this might not be new in the latest beta).

If you keep the screen lit up, it'll never send. It only sends once the Siri overlay goes away, either by clicking the crown to return to the watch face, or by letting the display go to sleep, where it then automatically returns to the watch face after ~15-30 seconds of inactivity. Not sure exactly how long though.

UPDATE: Tested it multiple times and it delivers at about 10 seconds after display turns off

Anyone else having problems with the new wake on tap setting for 70 seconds, I've got it to change through the app on my iPhone but it won't change when selecting it on the watch, also the screen still stays active for the standard 15 seconds when the option is selected.

So, is this beta suitable as a daily driver?

Ive updated my phone to Beta 5 as I needed to do some app testing and its fine, although the Friends part of the watch app crashes.
My watch is still on 1.01 and the friends app also crashes on the the watch.

I've only been using it for a day, but so far it seems stable and performance is as good as 1.01.

The only problem I'm having is I can't view usage info for my watch as it says it can't connect yet my watch is connected

Anyone else having trouble installing the WatchOS beta? I've registered my UUID's and installed the profiles on my phone and watch, and yet I'm never able to find the software?
