True. My series 6 is still going strong battery wise, though I would be interested if they really get the body temp sensor and it works well. The Series 7 and 6 are gonna hold their value for a long time.
It makes a lot of sense. Contrary to iPad and MBA, which are actually useful, this immediately screams: I have excess money, follow me on Instagram cause I'm important. That's also the only reason why the design needed to be changed recognizably for just the "Pro" model.Yeah that’s iPad Pro or MBA territory. Really makes no sense.
49mm? I saw 47mm rumored originally, then 48mm earlier today and now 49mm.Sheeeesh! Look at the size
50! 😄49mm? I saw 47mm rumored originally, then 48mm earlier today and now 49mm.
Do we hear 50? Anyone?
Oh I hope that you are a bit wrong and that we do in fact get that flat shape for the alleged Watch Pro. In just a wee few days we will see 😘Glad I convinced myself I didn’t want the Pro Watch when it was rumoured, that thing looks hideous.
Think we’ll possibly see three models next year:
Series 9: Same design as we have currently, just on the budget side.
Series X: The heavily rumoured flat edged and flush screen watch we’ve seen around for a few months.
Pro Model: Slight improvement from this years Pro model. (Which seeing those CADs wouldn’t be too difficult)
Ugh, that means the case is like 51.5mm tall.
The public toilet comment was spot on but we don't need Jony Ive back. That guy overstayed his usefulness by many years. Example: Mac Pro that was ironically shaped like a trashcan.I’ll hold my final judgement for in person, but this thing looks like it was inspired by a public park toilet. Jony Ive come back!
Terrible. I've grown to hate the Apple Watch. I sold my latest gen just useless. The crown is annoying as hell too.
New CAD images of the upcoming Apple Watch "Pro" have been shared online by 91mobiles, providing a closer look at the alleged design of the device.

The renders line up with Apple Watch "Pro" case images shared earlier this morning, revealing the inclusion of a new physical button on the left side of the watch. The new button is visible within the CAD images, which show it sitting beneath three holes likely to be the speaker vents.
As for the Digital Crown, the CADs reveal a much more rugged look for the dial compared to the current version. Both the Digital Crown and Side Button appear to be housed within a new chassis protrusion on the side of the Apple Watch Pro, which could make them more easily accessible. The display on the watch is completely flat, unlike the Apple Watch Series 7, which features curved edges around the display.

In his Power On newsletter this weekend, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman said that the Apple Watch "Pro" will feature a significantly larger display that will likely "be bigger than most wrists." Past rumors have suggested a case size between 47mm and 48mm for the device. Apple plans to use the larger display to display additional metrics to athletes during workouts, and there will also be redesigned watch faces, according to Gurman.
The new Pro model will sit at the top of the Apple Watch lineup, with pricing expected to fall in the $900 to $1,000 range. Apple is expected to announce the all-new Apple Watch "Pro" during an event on Wednesday, September 7. The new high-end Apple Watch will join the new Apple Watch Series 8 and an updated Apple Watch SE in the lineup.

You can then install the HealthFit app on your phone and pair it with just about any fitness website known to man (including TrainingPeaks) and it will sync all your data to other services automatically. You don’t even need to launch the app for it to sync your data. So actually, yes you can do this with an Apple Watch. I prefer the WorkOutDoors app on the watch because it has endless configurability for the metrics displayed on the screen and has a really nice system for intervals/structured workouts. WorkOutDoors will sync directly to Strava and HealthKit.As a triathlete I hope that this new Apple Watch plays well with other platforms, like Training Peaks. The main reason I have a Garmin is so that my coach can send me workouts and then track detailed results. Currently that's not possible on an Apple Watch.
If Apple is serious about targeting athletes it needs to get the software right, not the hardware.
I suspect it’s to protect the crown but at the same time it moves that button outside of the body which should provide more room internally for a bigger battery. I bet they protruded the screen like that for the same reason.is that weird thing on the right supposed to protect the Digital Crown?
no Apple Watch ever has held their "value", their monetary value that is. Feature-wise, I agreeThe Series 7 and 6 are gonna hold their value for a long time.
The WOD app is amazing. I’d run it just for the way it displays the metrics, so much easier to see when on the move than the built-in app.You can then install the HealthFit app on your phone and pair it with just about any fitness website known to man (including TrainingPeaks) and it will sync all your data to other services automatically. Who are you referring to?I see a lot of people don't know what a CAD render is.
