Trying to decide if I want to stick with the smaller watch or go for the 45mm this time around. My wrists are 170mm so I fall into range for both but not sure if the bigger one would look "too big" on my wrists. Don't have an Apple Store nearby to try it on in person.

Great! Been waiting for this. I usually don’t upgrade anything until the model I have (regardless of what it is) breaks. Have a Series 3 which screen popped off earlier this year. It’s still connected by a cable and still works, but is out of warranty. I used a polymer adhesive and bonded the screen back on, but it popped off again a few months later. Didn’t realize how much I used it until it was gone.

Series 7 has disappeared from the store, both website and app. It was there a minute ago.

shouldn't they have the placeholder preorder spec page up like they did for the iphone 13?

I’m super excited to get my first Apple Watch! Looks like the rumors were true about the launch date at least 😀

Maybe they are going to put up the more detailed pages now.
i can see it.

The Apple Watch 7 is claimed to be the most crack resistant ever. What about scratch resistance? No mention of that anywhere. I have a feeling you will need to upgrade to the watch with the sapphire screen to prevent a scratched face.
While I agree, practically speaking, scratches won’t stop you from using it in the water. A crack absolutely will.

Thats the same page as yesterday and before. ;)
well to be honest, I haven't been tracking the page daily, but it does now say Order Starting 10.8, although admittedly that is easy to add in.

This page has a lot more info than when I looked last week.

Is the blue model sierra blue or pacific blue like last year?

Although I’d like a Series 7 watch, apart from the screen and the watch colours I can see zero reasons to upgrade

the sensors are the same as the Series 6
the performance has not changed over the Series 6

to he, it looks to be a series 6 with a slightly bigger screen

But what's the fun in that? I've never understood turning off the features that are meant to be on in order to squeeze out more battery life. Why would I want to use my device that way all the time? I wouldn't. Why am I squeezing out extra time from a device that is already not worth using because I turned all the features off?

It is designed to last all day using all of the features. And it does. Turning things off does not make any sense at all.
So I personally prefer to be in control of when the AOD wakes up and goes into full power mode - especially when I’m with people I don’t want the watch face to change and be distracting - being in total control of that is an awesome feature for me and even without the battery gains prefer this behavior - especially with the AOD improvements of being able to tap a complication and it behaving the same as if you were in high power mode.

Definitely no interest for this. No new features. No faster chip. Worse battery. Sorry apple. There’s always next year.
The display is 20% larger and has new watches faces with extra complications and more data displayed. The S7 chip is new and probably more energy efficient since it’s apparently the same speed as the S6. You also get faster charging. So no, it’s not just the same watch as the series 6.
