anyone's order get canceled after already status changed to "prepared for shipping"?
 
My order is still not yet shipped and i ordered at 4:30 pm ET, no emails from att, no css, i still have an upgrade, am i screwed? also i still didnt get an email saying my order is cancelled
 
this is the email i got. same as everyone else? i don't need to do anything right?

That is known around here as the 'CSS' letter. You don't need to do anything with it.
 
OK...we all know the system is messed up, but, just for the sake of separating fact from conjecture, could everyone whose orders were PERHAPS cancelled because their bill MAYBE went PAST DUE between the 15th and now, please state that in their post when describing their situation?

AT&T is VERY cognizant of your billing status WHENEVER you upgrade with them.

I am not saying this is the case with most cancellations, but I have a hunch it has more to do with some of the accounts that we are reading than people are letting on.

I realize it can be embarassing to admit, but most of us have been late on a bill at least once in our lives!
 
One of my three apple.com orders (for three lines on a five-line family plan) just got cancelled. Two e-mails received, though, so I'm assuming one of the others is about to get hit. The currently-uncancelled ones are in "Not Yet Shipped" status. I'm guessing this is because of my order that stealth "got through" with AT&T earlier in the day on Tuesday (which I found out about Wednesday night), and at this point I'm extremely glad I didn't wait on hold to cancel that one.

Order confirmation was received at 6:48PM on Tuesday, money is actually still on hold on the credit card, just cancelled today. ATT.com shows me as upgrade-eligible in 2011/2012, and 0 chance of this being past-due-billing related, which is why I think they must have posted the AT&T order through to my contract.

Now all I need is AT&T to cancel my order because they don't like that I changed my billing address, and my day will be complete.
 
i got cancelled, after my card was charged 3 times...im guessin thats why? i'm not sure..was 'in process' for the shipping order until late last night...then cancelled...i went to ATT today and they told me it was because i used a debit card ran as credit...i'm not sure because my funds were still taken. :/
 
This time the Apple rep (Jeff) was quite good. Didn't blame AT&T at all. Admitted that he had no idea why Apple's internal system decided to arbitrarily cancel my order at noon. He checked the possible reasons (multiple orders, upgrade eligibility etc) and basically just said "Who knows". I appreciated the candor.
He also said that there have been many of these and that they will submit the order again with the same order number. He claimed that these orders are being prioritized and we may have to wait until the 25th but that we should get one of the initial batch.
Who knows.
Anyone else have a different experience while trying to get this resolved?


My order was cancelled! I called apple as soon as I noticed, was on hold for an journey before anybody came on the line... The rep said that it was because AT&T cancelled the order because I ordered FIVE iPhones! I don't know how I ordered five when i only have one line and only got to the payment screen once and my order went through.he said I needed to call AT&T and have them reinstate my order. I called and gotnright through and she was just as stumped as I was! She only saw one order from apple and multiple checks from apple for eligibility. I was on the phone for about 30 minutes with her and then she decided to call apple herself. She called and we were on hold for another hour... And then the apple rep said he would escalate the call to his manager to get it reinstated. After another 30 mins he said there was nothing he could do because it was an "internal error" on AT&T's part. I asked him to ask another manager and they pretty much said the same thing. WTF!??

Oh and now I just got TWO emails from apple saying my order was cancelled be cause of problems authorizing my account! Whatever!

I never received my CSS. I checked my email address with AT&T and t is correct as is my email with Apple, who I ordered from. I looked at AT&Ts site and the CSS looks updated and my order is still prepared for shipment. I'm thinking that I will be OK I wonder is everyone havng a problem with no CSS are new customers to AT&T or upgrades.
 
yeah i pre ordered and just incase i reserved one for pick up, still up in the air if i get cancelled but at least i have a backup
 
Nope, I waited on hold for almost an hour with an Apple rep while she submitted a request to have my order reopened and it was declined because of AT&T being the one who supposedly cancelled it. The Apple <--> AT&T system is not very friendly it seems to either Apple or AT&T, neither party knows whats going on with the other or anything... you would think they would have a more general system setup for fixing problems, etc.

Same thing happened to me... But the apple rep I spoke with said he had just reopened an order and he might be able to with mine... But then his supervisor said no epbecause AT&T cancelled it.

Looks like ATT is going to be pretty brutal on orders that look munged in any way.

I ordered a 16GB and 32GB.. Upgraded my wifes and My phone....family plan

As of right now its not cancelled but it also doesn't showed prepared for shipment....it shows delivers on the 24th June..

We shall see....
 
iphone order cancelled.

I received this from Apple around 6:30 this evening. I am not happy. No chance for being late on payment because I am on automatic payment. This was the 2nd phone on the family plan - a black 32g.

My order from Apple was cancelled tonight by apple.com, the order I thought was going to be OK. However, I had another order from AT&T that I thought did not go through, but it did. I'm glad I decided not to call AT&T yesterday and cancel that one. As of now, my order status on att.com still says "Processing" and nothing has been moved to backordered yet. Given my luck, that one will be cancelled too. :mad:

I also had an order go through at ATT that I did not think went through. Unfortunately, I cancelled that order yesterday. Aaaargh.
