Exactly what happened to me!

Att was the one who told me to go ahead and order with Apple that day on the 15th,because they couldn't find the order i had placed at 5am and didn't think it had gone through so i ordered with Apple,then the next day i get email from att saying it had gone through so i called them and canceled it,i get my Apple order canceled today they say maybe because Att hadn't updated their cancellation yet? i called Att and they said it had been updated i never got terms email from apple either only acknowledgment email i called att and boy i let them have it they told me to order with apple because they couldn't find my order and didn't think it had gone through! Apple had better fix this and reverse the cancellation,i am disabled and in a wheelchair and am very ill the nearest apple store is 100 miles away and i am in no condition to wait in line.By god they better fix this!!!!!
Apple says they can't fix that i will have to do new order and get after 15th!!!!!! said to call att and see if they could fix already tried that,they won't help even though they caused this mess in the first place,told me to call apple,now i have to wait till the 15th when i was gonna get on the 24th no apple store within 100 miles besides i am disabled ,i have been fu...cked by both companies and i am pissed and Apple is doing nothing to fix it:mad:

I'm in the same boat, exactly the same circumstances surrounding both orders. Apple blamed ATT, ATT blamed Apple. Now no phone on the 24th and nobody can help. Absolutley absurd, i'm so mad right now I cant see straight!!!!!

I just tried to checkout an iPhone on Apple's site using my wife's number. I got all the way to the end just before I hit complete order and I didn't see a box to check.
 
Collin from Apple said the only way the orders are getting cancelled are people not checking the box at checkout on Apple.com or they aren't going to the website given in a followup email within a specified timeframe. If you are already in Prepared for Shipment phase, he said they won't take you out... Just relaying what I was told

Some people like me did not get the email telling us to do that only an order acknowledgment,which is bs apple should have a least have called or sent an email before they canceled ,i spent from 12am all the way to 9pm central trying to order and was going to get on the 24th and i am terminally ill and in a wheelchair it took a lot out of me to do that!,me and so many others have been screwed by apple and they won't do a thing to fix,just told me they would have to do new order and wouldn't get till after Jul 15th! i was so frustrated i was almost in tears! i even had the apple rep guy tell me "you know it is just a phone a few xtra weeks isn't the end of the world" the fu..cker it's not the fact that it's just a ph but what i had to go through for my order,then they screw us over with no warning and won't fix it.Congrats to all those getting theirs on the 24th i am glad your so happy.... just hope the same thing don't happen to you! i have never been so pissed at a company after spending thousands of $'s with them,hell i just bought the new macbook and new 13"mbp last month this is total BS!!!!!!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
 
Looks like a bit of Phising there to me!!

The domain is still apple.com, so I wouldn't worry about it. A phishing site wouldn't have apple.com at the end of the URL, it would be something else.

we are not all website experts? Are you positive it is from apple? you would be worried if you were in my position too!

Well, I AM a website expert and you can stop worrying. The domain in the URL ends with apple.com and therefore CANNOT be a page controlled by any third party.

I really don't remember this either. Talked to AT&T regarding this and apparently, if your CSS is updated on your ATT.com account or your contract end date is updated, then you "should be okay". However, don't really know how well I should trust that though, seeing this whole pre-order fiasco unfold.

And neither of those have happened to me. I'm hoping mine won't get cancelled, although I have a bad feeling it will. Only time will tell....
 
so i checked the css email. it pretty much shows the changes i made on the account and shows iphone plans and data i agreed to. towards the end it says i have agreed to the TOC. Im going to say with confidence that im safe :D. i hope you all whos not sure receive their device in a timely manner
 
Im scared:eek: I got 3 iphone 4's and 2 of them are on the same account, they are not cancelled but they say not shipped yet, also each order has an accesory with it. Should I be scared?
 
Not sure if this was a coincidence...

I was concerned because my order status still said "Not yet shipped" as of today. I called AT&T to make sure that I didn't miss any steps in the order process (i.e. agree to new contract agreement) that would hold up my order. The lady did some checks and confirmed that I was eligible and said that I shouldn't have to agree to the terms of the contract renewal until after I activate my phone. She put me on hold and came back and said everything should be good.

After I hung up, I checked my order status again and it said "Prepared for shipment." Coinidence? or did the CSR rep do something that helped push the order through?

I just hope that since I am out of the "not yet shipped" status that I will receive my phone on 6/24.

FYI, I am a premier (business) customer an I was eligible for a standard upgrade (not early) and ordered through apple.com with my amex.

I put an order through on the att site but recieved no confirm and my account wasnt hit so i kept trying on apples site and finally got through but my account was hit so i called att to cancel the order and the guy told me it was probably going to be cancelled because of an over due amount so i paid it. sure enough the next morning i checked with att and my order went through so I called and cancelled it to which later i checked the site and it was cancelled. I just happened to check my bank account today and noticed the charge from apple wasn't there anymore but the one from at&t was so I called the bank and had the at&t charge taken off. the bank guy told me the apple charge was taken off then put back on then taken off again over the course of a couple days??? weird. So i called apple and the guy told me my order looked fine and he didn't know why the charge hit on the day I ordered since they dont charge until it ships. Not more than six hours later I get the cancellation email.
This is disgusting they shouldn't be able to just cancel an order with out contacting you to take action. So pissed right now...........
 
I just noticed that on the CSS TOC page where it goes over all your charges, that AT&T charges you for the $18 upgrade fee even though Apple.com said it was waived.
 
Is it bad that the three $1.00 holds apple put on my bank account are gone as of today?

on my account the apple charge dropped to. but it was a pre charge. my bank said they did to make sure funds were there. and after 4 days it goes back to my account if the merchant didnt take it. but said now they can take it at any time.
 
for those that reserved for in store pick up through apple.com, when you log in on the site to check order status does anything show up? i just logged in on apple.com and checked order status and nothing shows up. i did get a confirmation email when i preordered on the 15th

Your account was past due. End of story, I wouldn't send you an iPhone either. I don't care how early you ordered or how many people you talked to. Pay your bill on time and you don't have a problem.

You "reserved" it. You didn't "order" it. You won't have an order status.
