Thank you for the clarification. Now I am upset that I purchased a new MacBook Pro 2 days ago. Not even been shipped to me yet, but on the way. Couldn't beat the deal though....got a $2499 laptop for $1750 new sealed in the box on eBay. Non-Retina 15" 2.6GHz 8GB RAM 256GB SSD *SEALED*

So I don't know how upset I am now that I jumped and did not wait. I am sure this thing will be fine for me though. Sold my 17" because I decided it was too bulky for me.

Honestly, that sounds like an awesome machine. It's way more than you need for Facebook, email and music. You shouldn't feel bad at all.

Really? Buggy how?

IOS 7 has run perfectly on my iPad3, without issues or problems since the release date.

I'm running iOS 6 on my 3rd gen iPad and I have frequent app crashes and constant tab refreshes in Safari. iOS 6 was not a flawless release.

What do we have to do to get 2GB RAM in the iPad?!?

I really wish iOS7 had something to support multiple profiles on the iPad. That combined with the fingerprint would make for a great combination to share an iPad. It would interfere with sales a bit but it can't interfere with sales all that much?

I'm so ready for a new ipad. My ipad first gen is on it's last legs.

Your iPad has legs? Like that guitar playing hamburger from that "Better off dead" movie?

Apple doesn't care about the computer anymore. Look at how long they let the Mac Pro languish without any significant updates. That's why they removed "Computer" from the company name and are now Apple, Inc.

They'd better care. People like me use their computers to make applications for their toys to run, and the PC isn't going anywhere for serious work.

If outside of the US, you get scanned as you come in to the country. At some point or other most people have been fingerprinted.

So what's the problem? It's there to keep you safe.

I fixed it for you.

I have an iPad 3 and an iPhone 5. Somehow got stuck with the bast*** child Apple products! They both simply ceased to exist!

Amen. For some reason I have a knack for get the latest thing, only to have discontinued completely months later. My friends with their iPad 2s still get the pleasure of the fact that they have currently apple sold/supported iPads.

The iPad 2 has by far been the most future-proof tablet to ever exist.

I decided I might as well skip the 4 series iphones and go all-in and fork out the cash for the latest iphone, only to have Apple decide to have a 5C with the 5S. The only plus side is that People know I payed full price for the premium phone when it was new, where as people with 5Cs pretty much advertise to everyone that they couldn't afford/get the most premium phone.

I don't see any mention of it...but there were rumors a few times of a larger iPad.

If Apple did make a larger iPad (and keeping everything the same or better for other features), I would buy one...the current regular iPad just doesn't have enough screen real estate for me.

A request to Apple: ability to change the number of icons on a single screen. The current 4X6 grid arrangement is too spaced out. I would like to cram more apps on a single page. They could at least position 8 icons across...
Limitation of the iOS ?

Wow, snob much?

On August 27th I was at work when my iphone 4S died. Took it to the Apple store, they claimed there was "water damage" when I had been like an OCD freak about never getting water in the phone. Since I was working in a campaign I was given a choice: iphone 4S or buy an iphone 5 at the contract price? Since it was the same amount of money I bought the iphone 5. Imagine how I felt on September 20th.

Fingers crossed for a retina mini or I may have to consider a nexus 7.
I have a Nexus 7 (2013). While it has great stats and even looks pretty slick, I never use it over my iPad 2. It just isn't as pleasant an experience. I don't have an iPad mini, but I can't imagine the result would be any different.

Should have put in a smiley in there to show I was mostly joking in that paragraph. On the serious side of it, no, it's not fun forking out the the cash for the iPad 3 and constantly having people tell to you "You have a 3? isn't there an iPad 4?" just 3-4 months after purchase. In reality, it's not a big deal, I was just agreeing with the comment.

All I need Apple to do is take all the iPad 4 hardware and dump it into an iPad Mini with Retina...

Make it happen and take my money.

First gen? That must be crazy slow.

iOS 5.1 about the same as iOS7 on current hardware... (except the new stuff)

----------

Give me the MacBook Pro. Now.

Apple. Now.

My 5 year old MacBook is done. Just give me the damn thing already.

NAOO!!!

Should have just bought the current rMBP - the update will be about as difference as the iMac.

I have been waiting for the new update to pick up a iPad Mini, I have been holding off since my iPad 2, and its starting to finally show its page. I actually tried playing a game with it and it was just...not happening. Thats never happened before, now I know its time. Don't dissapoint Apple! Especially with Hearthstone coming out, I need my little machine.
