Apple's iPhone XS, XS Max and XR Won't Ship With Lightning to 3.5mm Headphone Jack Adapter

When I pay $1100 for a new phone first thing I want to do is pay more for a flipping adapter so I can use my headphones. I’m surprised the charger is still included.

It is not as if workable and useable headphones were not included in the box. The writing was on the wall two years ago when they removed the headphone jack from the iPhone 7/7+. Why is anyone surprised?
It's pretty ridiculous that Apple charges $1,000 and up, but, doesn't include a fast charger for that price.

The "nickel and dimeing" that Apple has lately engaged in means only 2 things to me. 1) I've already bought my final iPhone, and after a horrid experience with my new DongleBook Pro, that too shall be my last. So sad...Apple was once a great brand. Now it's just another brand.
USB-A still in the box, yet they have had USB C only ports in their new laptops since Oct 2016 :S

If having a "free" fast charger is that important to you, then you might want to consider phones from other manufacturers.

I don't either. I think juvenile whines such as that mostly come from those who have not yet reached adulthood.

What a patronizing post....take a chill pill, massage the Apple defence force tension out of your muscles, and then re-read what I said - it is a fair criticism. I said nothing about what is important to me or my own purchasing decisions
People, the general public, the general population do that, they compare and contrast products. Its a generalized statement. And it is a fair criticism to make, if anyone wants to make it - these are not inexpensive devices.
Me personally, I have no care or need for a fast charger in the box. I am not going to be upgrading to these new phones, I am very content with my iPhone X. My car has a wireless charger in it which suits my needs fine, and I charge it overnight with the same 5w wall charger that came with my iPhone 5 many years ago.
I'd pay $39 more for a built-in headphone jack. Just throwing that out there...
Not patronizing at all, I'm sorry your feelings were hurt. Just common sense. Open your wallet and reward companies who provide what you want. Simple.

Nope. Not defending Apple at all. See my above posts about giving your business to companies who provide what you want. Don't like Apple's value proposition, pick another company that does.

I suggest you look at how many adapters are sold before making such a stupid comment, i believe it's the most sold item at best buy.
Again, please do enlighten us on which pair of Bluetooth headphones that you use that does not have any detectable latency.
I have the AirPods and the BeatsX with the W1 chip. They still have the latency issue.
For the price they are gouging, they better put that dongle in.
Yeah, Apple should dump the iPhone completely - Phones are 1870's technology.
