Me too. Apart from what's been hinted at in this thread I'm totally spoiler free. My phone is off. Email isn't open. Auto update is turned off on my Macbook Pro. All I have to do is hit refresh on this thread and not yield to temptation
I'm near Denmark, by about 25km, and I am also freezing my butt off in our spare room listening to the wind, looking at the snow, waiting for some one at Apple to 'pull their finger out' and post the video. Skål!
Thanks. I guess what I was objecting too the most was the anger I read in the posts. It upsets me when people get so angry over something that is (IMO) trivial. (I agree that today it doesn't seam trivial, but in the scheme of life, it is very trivial!)
But things have cooled off, so let's keep going.
My favorite movies of all time: Crash and Lean on Me (in that order).
Fav. movie of 2009: Avatar. (Sure it was over rated, but I fully see it as the next step in movie making... IE: Just like now we can look back at iconic movies such as The Great Train Robbery, The Jazz Singer, Star Wars, Jurassic Park, and Titanic, ten years from now we will all look back and see Avatar as the movie that started the CG / 3D revolution.)
Favorite bands of 2009: House of Heroes and Family Force 5.

Apple Keynotes podcast
Guys - I'm also periodically checking the "Apple Keynote" podcast.
For those that would like to do so, here's how I've got my iTunes setup to be pretty spoiler free:
- Click on "Podcasts" in the left-hand menu (Library) menu
- Do "Apple-J" on your keyboard to bring up "View Options" (or alternatively go to "View" -> "View Options")
- Uncheck everything (especially Description and Time)
- Go to the "Podcast" column header at the top and drag it ALL the way to the left (this will really minimize the podcast name as well)
- Then all that's left is the release date (which is fine) so you can run "Update Podcast" to see when the 1/27/10 keynote gets posted
Supposedly (from claims made by others in this forum), the podcast is posted sooner than the Keynote and I need it ASAP because it is becoming almost IMPOSSIBLE to avoid spoilers!

Agreed. I don't know about movies. But does anyone else here watch House? I got into it when I was really ill with swine flu before christmas. For pretty much a month all I did was sleep and work my way through six seasons of it. Which by the way - although its awesome - isn't the thing to do when you're poorly.

For the Sept. 9th keynote event it came out at 9pm Eastern, there has been one old keynote that didn't come out until 6am the following morning, so, no idea.

Apple confirmed there is something new in the invitation.
Tomorrow, someone should start a thread for the next event. That won't even contain the date of the event, if there will be one, or what the invite says. Then you can all be happy.

Thats a great idea. Dont quote me because I am definitely not brave enough to search for it at the moment but someone did a script style site that polls the apple site and if i recall it was istheapplesitedown.com and i think it had a goog page rank of 4 so it was being used.
When i was hopefully they were releasing a new air before christmas i saw the site was down but didnt know if it was on my end and that site showed up and it had a red X saying yes it was down and it was slick.
Yes! I love House. Have you been watching the sixth season? I think that House is still going really strong and I love Hugh Laurie (the man who plays House). Have you ever seen any of his other works (A Bit of Fry and Laurie, Jeeves and Wooster etc.) If not you should watch them too as they are very good and it shows Hugh Laurie's versatility as an actor.
I think the Cuddy and House relationship is something that needs to be resolved sooner rather than later and I love the current Wilson and House relationship and the banter between them!
