Submitted my claim at 8:00am Central time yesterday for both of my rMBPs. Got two codes and they both said they were already used.

I sent an email to uptodatesupport@apple.com around 1:00pm yesterday and never received a response.

Got another set of codes this morning at 1:00am Central and they worked just fine.

Updated mine for the time zone. I'm now 27 hours out from initially submitting the form, but have not received even one email from apple. I was able to resubmit the form at 6 hours and again at 9.5 hours, but when I tried at 11 hours out, it said that my serial number was already used. I now have 3 different claim reference numbers.

Because it let me use the same serial number, apparently the first two times I submitted the form were not successful. This is despite apple claiming that the form submission WAS successful- hence giving me the first two claim reference numbers.

It might be that users need to keep submitting the request until apple rejects the serial number.

It let me submit my 3rd claim. (First 2 were yesterday morning/yesterday night..3rd was a bit over an hour ago..). I just tried submitting it the 4th time, it said serial number already claimed.

So yes, I would agree for people to keep submitting until Apple rejects their serial number.

I did just get a email from Apple for itunes songs from apple a couple of minutes ago :) The Beatles new Compilation, So I could listen to the new Beatles Album while i wait for a code :)

Been waiting since yesterday AM too. Have to say I'm anxious but I can wait. Having a blast reading this thread though... You guys are devout. Makes the wait much easier. :p

Same here! ...but my anxiousness gave way to curiousity and I decided to try to download the GM version torrent. I Installed it last night and everything is working as advertised!
I filled out my up-to-date form 24hrs ago with no emails yet.

This is what I don't think Apple understands right now. All of us are tech-savvy early adopters. We know how to easily install Mountain Lion illegally through torrents. It's as easy as download-install, with no hoops to jump through.

We're choosing to WAIT so that we can have it legally. But, man, they're really testing my patience here.

I just received my second code 24 hours after submitting my up-to-date request. The new code worked... but it was for a copy of OS X Server. Luckily it didn't start dowloading since ML is a requirement.

I can't help but laugh at this point! :p

Same here, 24 hours later no code. They seem to have boned this one pretty badly. It's not a big deal to me I can wait. The most annoying part is that they managed to get it for sale but people who've already paid have to wait. They need to figure out a way to just give the update to those who've already paid for it.

Emailed the up-to-date support account about a hour ago from two different email accounts, have not received a reply from any account.

Waiting patiently, upgraded my Microsoft Office and fixed my iCloud accounts, looking of other updates to perform while I wait.

:apple:

I also emailed them and yet to have a response

I agree...it was a little frustrating yesterday evening when i was anxious to install ML, but when I woke up today and I still hadn't gotten my code, I found it a little comical.

24 hours now

I called Apple yesterday and they resent my code and said to wait 24 hours

24 hours later, no e-mail:eek:

Called Apple and they resent it again, and that I have to wait 72 hours now

Quick question: Does the ML installation start immediately after downloading it via app store? Or can i leave the download unattended? I want to download it but create a bootable flash drive before the actual installation! Would be nice to let the download run while i leave for a quick dinner with friends!

regards

You can leave it unattended. it just downloads it as an app and you can choose to run it when you wish. it wont go ahead and do anything with out you pushing opening it and going through the prompts :p

Can I just download some torrent while waiting for he Up-to-Date program and then install legally from the torrent? Will I run into any issues this way?

TY for the tip

Next time:
File > Print > PDF > Save to Web Receipts

Great tip for us newb's. If I wanted to save an email receipt to this same folder as a pdf is there an easy way to do that too?

(Print>pdf didn't show up in my email options)

Thanx!

Maybe it has to do with money in hand and new money coming in?

Just sent a message to Tim Cook about the up-to-date program

I just sent a little e-mail to Tim Cook on how this program could be done better in the future. Lets see if I get any response to these issues. I have worked for Apple in the past, and have met Steve Jobs and Steve Woz back in the early 80's so I wanted to email and make him aware to improve the process in the future.

I hope you have mentioned that worldwide release of a software is not a good idea! And even if they do, why the hell did they reset the codes?

I want to meet the genius behind the worldwide release idea!

Apple hates me.

The GPU in my 2008 iMac failed the first week of March.
I waited nearly 4 months to buy a 2012 iMac. They didn't release one.
I bought a CTO Macbook Air instead.
That broke after 9 days.
I waited another week for a replacement.
Now they won't send me a simple redemption code for Mountain Lion.

They are not in my good books.

It's in the lower-lefthand corner of the system Print dialog (it's been there since the early days of OS X -- IIRC, the 'Web Receipts' folder action was added in 10.4, with the advent of Automator). The only applications that I've encountered that don't show the 'PDF' submenu are those from Adobe.
