Tim's main priority is cheap labor, whether here in the U.S. or in China. Anything to add to the quarter trillion dollars Apple is currently stashing away.
That illegal immigration IS part of this conversation. There are no “dreamers” without illegal immigrant parents. Period. Why should dreamer children enjoy benefits in states like California, that my kids don’t qualify for? Like College education paid for. The left is out of control. Absolutely gone. The right is not much better for different reasons.
You're surely smart enough the realize the people we're talking about, DACA status people, were brought here as children. It's not like they had any say in the matter. They knowingly committed no crime. And since they were minors, they legally committed no crime, either. Your argument has no merit.

Not possible with our Constitution but, if we had any kind of value based citizenship requirements these folks would be hands down at the front of the line. The other tens of millions would not make even the lowest level cut. Want to fix something, their are tens of millions in desperate need of fixing and then grant these folks what they have earned.

LOL...then why does Trump want to cut legal immigration by 50%? Why aren't conservatives willing to do the Dream Act? That would be a legal action. Why do conservatives oppose paths to citizenship for people already in the country? That would require following a law. Why do conservatives want to get rid of birth-based citizenship enshrined in the 14th amendment? That's legal too.

I know that “states rights” is just a catch phrase, kind of like “the wall, virtue signaling, chain migration” and other fun phrases, but some states have exercised their rights and elected to treat DACA designees as the actual residents they are, along with the benefits therein. That rarely means free tuition.
Should your children wish to attend college in California and pay in-state tuition you could, like, move.
So what's your suggestion for incentivizing them to do it legally? Or do you oppose that as well? Trump certainly does. You don't say you're cutting legal immigration by 50% because you're obsessed with legality. You do it because you just don't want immigrants coming into the country, period.
