Apple's UK Online Store Lists August 28th Ship Date for Snow Leopard Up-to-Date Program

Apple charged my credit card and it was pending forever and went away last week and came back this week but today it's gone.

It is a posted transaction and not pending.. The money has gone. Yay for me. :):)

I find that when you have a lot of crashes in QuickTime or iTunes (which uses QuickTime its usually due to plugins or such that are the problem. Last time that happened to me I removed all third party QT plugins and my issues went away.

Since SL is a huge refresh of the internals of the OS this wouldn't surprise me.
 
where is the chat icon on the Apple Store?

i didnt see it, so i thoguht they were unavailable cuz its 8PM where apples at

Well, if you are cheap, order from Amazon so you don't have to pay sales tax. If you want Snow Leopard on the 28th, wait to order it from Apple.

well the Mac slogan ( at least for Leopard ) was, " Put a New Mac in your Mac!"
 
Shun purple snow leaopard discs . . . . . . .

I don't want it unless I can get the version with the snow leopard image imprinted on it. I am willing to pay $10 extra for the option. Apple Store options for laptops let you modify and upgrade your purchase. That's all I ask.

Why pay less?

I like the box art with the OS's Apple ships. I keep them :)

I've kept the boxes too... Bad habit, too muh clutter at this point. I've become minimalist in my box hordeing.

My experience with apple is that it's worth it to pre-order an OS.

Usually pre-ordering iPods or computers yields nothing, but when I pre-ordered 10.5 it arrived on my doorstep the afternoon of the launch...no need to go out to the apple store with all the crowds to get it.

I predict tomorrow night we'll get a "one week" counter!
 
You people are crazy. Seriously. It's a few days difference! 28th Aug/1st Sept, who really cares.

And you all know that there won't be much of a difference visually when you install SL. Just wait for all the threads to pop up with people moaning about how let down they feel with SL.:p
 
apple employees know what poeple are asking lol. I said hello to the person and she said she didnt have a release date for snow leopard!

you are crazy my friend. you are the first person to bring up 1st of september. All apple said was September (not 1st)

I don't really care about no new visual changes. It's a new OS. Plus it will be faster which is always good.
