The problem with these studies is that they all omit what is probably the most crucial factor of wireless service - COVERAGE. T-Mobile might be faster than AT&T, but they have a long way to go to match AT&T's coverage footprint.

That's my issue. I'd switch back to T-Mobile in a nanosecond if I could, but their coverage both at my work location and where I live is horrendous. I frequently had dropped calls, data connections would drop from LTE down to 4G and texts would sometimes take 10 minutes to send/receive. I've had no such issues with AT&T at all, so I'm forced to stay with them and pay more...for now.

no dates or locations shared. Would appreciate specifics. Once i get their service i will also share my findings

I got an email about the change, and then a text message alerting me that I can turn off Stream Saver. I imagine that the others on my family plan got that same "Stream Saver" text.
What'd the text actually say? Did it thank you for choosing the new unlimited plan? OR just mention you can disable stream saver?

I'm currently on FAN 00033645 for military affiliation. Are there newer FAN's that offer different discounts?

No, I'm a vet so they have a separate FAN. All the different Services have their own FAN. They all have the same 15% discount.

Service quality can literally vary from street to street so there are no guarantees regardless, but I'm in a suburb of Dallas, so it's in a large metropolitan area. All I can say is at both the office building where I work and at the house where I live, sadly it is just terrible compared to AT&T.

I'd recommend that anyone try T-Mobile for themselves and if it works well for you then that's great. Unfortunately it just doesn't at all for me at this time anyway.

I'm not trying to convince anyone to do anything. I wish T-Mobile worked for me the way it works for you, as I'd love to be paying $50 less per month.

I live in NYC, where T-Mobile has significantly improved their coverage. Unfortunately, they still have a lot of improvements to make just a short distance outside the city, as they still have areas of no service.

im in metro DFW as well. When did you try T mobile? Was this pre the ATT merger break up or post it. They have spent significant money on infrastructure since then which is why im willing to give them a shot. just talked to my peeps in Houston that recently moved to T mobile within last month and they claim their service is great.

I mean im on a microcell in my house because ATT suck here s so its worth it for me to explore.

Has anyone figured out how to link an AT&T wireless account with a DirectNow account to get the 25 dollar credit?

I'm getting either site errors or unclear descriptions on the site all day.

Attempting to add to cart the "new" unlimited data plan shows I'm purchasing a mobile shared data plan. Also used to show how much discount I was getting from corporate and now just shows the discount will appear on my next billing.

I just saw this when I attempted to switch form the original grandfathered unlimited plan. Looks like the 22GB limit is for the account while the 10GB tethering limit is for each line. I thought it's unlimited per line with the 22GB throttling. So it's a shared unlimited plan? Can anyone confirm this?

Yes there is data caps with regular residential internet service from Comcast. We in Florida had it for some 2 years plus I think, it was only 300GB in the beginning and of course there were some tiny written paragraph in the contract that made that you couldnt get out of contract. Criminals.

Yeesh that is terrible.

Attempting to wrap my head around hotspots. Am I right to say that 10gb of tethering data is included in the higher cost plan, but if I pay $20 more I can get a hotspot which counts as a line with "unlimited" data (with the soft 22gb cap)? Trying to figure out if I can just cancel Comcast and use this for my home internet.

You use under 22gb a month at home?

Sorry if it's been answered previously but is it 22gb per line and 10 go hot spot per line on the unlimited plus? Just looked at my account and the unlimited packages don't have fan discount. Does the discount still stay on your account for accessories if removed from your plan?

From my previous post with the picture at checkout it leads me to believe its a Unlimited plan per account and each line draws from that BUT each line has a 10GB full speed limit per line. So a Shared Unlimited Data plan.

Trying to add the Unlimited Data Plus package and keep getting this error.

[doublepost=1488483038][/doublepost]On the shared data comparison chart it shows how much I'll save with my FAN discount then the section where it shows how much I'll save disappears when I compare to the new unlimited plans. I feel like I should've switched to the previous new unlimited plans since I could apply my fan discount.

Looks like AT&T really screwed up again. These new plans still don't come close to matching T-Mobile or Verizon, especially if you don't have DirecTV. Taking people's FAN discounts away is surely going to cause them to leave.

ATT is a disgrace. The only reason I don't dump them is because it has the best coverage on the places I go. What happened to me this morning is a clear example you cannot trust them. I have an email from the ATT store showing the FAN discount on the comparison between my current plan and the Unlimited Plus. I then got a call from the store saying they were wrong and I should disregard that quote. Ridiculous!!!!

Same **** happened to me. They tell me I have it, then I get a phone call telling me I don't. I went to the store with my ID card and had the military discount put on. At least I can get something.

The phone rep basically did the same thing to me. She quoted me the price of the Unlimited Plus plan (which she kept calling Unlimited Choice and I had to keep correcting her), and she 100% told me that my FAN discount applied. Then she put me on hold for like 20 minutes and came back and told me that my FAN discount didn't apply. Now if I want to switch it's actually going to cost me more than I am paying now. They simply don't get it.

No. It's per line. 22GB per line and 10GB tethering per line.

I called Customer Loyalty to get me back on my Mobile Share 20GB with Data Rollover. My FAN works again and I was able to work out unlimited talk/text/data in North America with no roaming. I am upset with AT&Ts horrible plans. I'm happy to have hotspot with no extra charge either
