"Has anyone figured out how to link an AT&T wireless account with a DirectNow account to get the 25 dollar credit?"

I spoke to 3 different AT&T reps today. They all said I don't have to do anything. They said it's automatic and will take up to 3 billing cycles. The $25 discount will come off your Directv Now, not your AT&T bill. I had to call 3 times because I wasn't sure if I believed that I didn't have to do anything. They didn't ask for my E-mail associated with my Directv Now account or for anything else. I hope they are correct.
I have Uverse and connected my Wireless and TV accounts under one login ID. AT&T asked me if I wanted to do that a couple weeks ago in the myAT&T app. It's convenient to log in once and see all your accounts together. I was told to just wait on the credit as it applies to Uverse as well. Kind of scary though to make a decision now and wait 3 months for a discount.

I did that last night and I was from the original UDP since iPhone 3G...Got three T-Mobile Unlimited everything (third for free) and additional 20% discount for $80 out the door taxes/fees included, may even drop to $70 if my dad use less than 2GB (he never use data...), not bad at all for 3 unlimited lines...

My bill went from $85 (one UDP, one dumb phone line and the march $5 increase and all taxes and fee) to $80 (or $70) for THREE lines...

In my case, I went from four lines for about $215 per month with a 30GB shared Mobile Value plan to SIX lines (including the free one) with unlimited everything and 10GB of hotspot usage per line for $180. On top of that, my mother hardly ever uses 2GB of data, so she will reduce the cost by $10 and the same with the free additional line. I put Kickback on that line as well and we'll see if it generates an additional $10 savings with little usage. So, at worst, I'm going to be at $170 per month for the six lines, and maybe even $160 per month.

In my area T-Mobile has very good coverage.

AT&T told me it's all seperate. Each line gets 22GB plus 10GB tethering.

I've had that question as well, and just talked with CS while calling from my ATTWS line. To throw more mud at the window, I was told that the 10GB tethering allotment is included in the 22GB. Tethering will slow down after 10GB regardless of how much data is used on a line.

Also, CS related that each MHS/Home Phone+Internet device will include 10GB of data and be throttled after that threshold is reached. I'm considering porting a landline to a Home Phone device, which led to that question.

And, having mentioned in this post that I called from my ATTWS line, I was on hold for about 30 seconds. I am calling (and am on hold now) from one of my VZW lines and was informed by the digital system that the wait time would be 10 minutes. My GF called from her ATTWS and then VZW lines and pretty much was informed of the same wait times. IMHO ATTWS is prioritizing native customers… If there's a difference in "the message" regarding tethering I'll post it in an edit here.

EDIT: So, mixed messages here. I just got off the phone with CS. Again. First, I was informed that the 22GB data bucket (with its conditions) is fully separate from the 10GB tethering data bucket (with its conditions). Second, the Home Phone+Internet has no data bucket (which differs from what is described on the web landing page). The call from my VZW line was answered - eventually - by a US-based person while the previous call from my ATTWS line was by a person in Manila (I asked). So, like Trump and his staff, multiple answers that differ from what's in the landing pages' print. Sigh.

I can also confirm that AT&T told me the 10 GB tethering is separate from the 22 GB speed allotment.

I was also confirmed the same this morning by rep.
Direct from AT&T's website:
The language on AT&T's web site doesn't really (directly) address the part of whether or not the 10 GB would be counted as part of the 22 GB. Although in a sense it seems to imply that it would be given the "any data usage" wording in "After 22GB of any data usage on a line in a bill cycle".

So I was told today that the $25 directtv now discount ONLY applies if you will be paying the FULL $60 cost of direct tv now. Not if you had done so at the $35 promo rate that was given in the past for the BIG plan or the Big + Free AppleTV deal over the holidays. Can anyone else confirm? I spoke to an ATT Store rep over the phone on the way home from work today.

AT&T told me it's all seperate. Each line gets 22GB plus 10GB tethering.

When you tether, you are using the 22GB pool of data from your device. So if you tether 5GB, you now have 17GB of data left on the data pool for that device. Each device gets a separate 22GB of data. This you can see in your data allotment/pie graph on the MyATT data usage screens.

We have 5 lines. On the AT&T app it shows $115.00 plus $20.00 access charge totaling $215.00, Then $40.00 credit for "Discount for access charge" for a final pretax $175.00. Online it shows the same but no discount for $215.00. If I pull the trigger, am I going to get the discount? Calling AT&T is no help.

I had the same issue, the $40 discount is not correct, the website is having all kinds of issues

I just signed up for the Unlimited Plus. We have 2 lines, both with the grandfathered unlimited data plans. It hasn't gone into effect yet, since I asked her to forward date the plan to start on the 8th (next bill cycle). Essentially that means I have 4 more days to change my mind back.

I'm already a little upset about the * after the $145 being some ridiculous discount if you auto-pay, but only via debit cards. I mean, we're not saving a ton doing this, and $10 (+tax) will make the savings almost moot.

I even point blank asked the lady about not being able to get the advertised rate if we auto-pay with our credit card...she had heard nothing about that. #madface

I don't know. We don't currently have tethering, so that's cool.

I logged in and I have 4 levels of unlimited: Unlimited choice ($65,$105) and 2 levels of unlimited plus ($95,$135). I read the descriptions of all of them and cannot tell the difference and not one of the descriptions mentions tethering being included.

Pretty much a joke if you ask me.

Which is why I called in the first place. I also called before the plan went live today. Mixed messages - more succinctly put put, differing answers - are what is troubling me here, which is indicated in my cited post. The "it's included" and "it's separate" messages were conveyed to me in a span of 30 minutes by two different reps today, which was different than the message conveyed by the CS rep I talked with less than 48 hours ago (she conveyed that the Home Internet device had a separate data bucket while the two CS reps I talked with today stated that the Home Internet device does not have a allocated data and data needs to be purchased separately; the landing page indicates that HS and Home Internet devices have 10GB HS data dedicated to them).

I'm surmising that ATTWS CS reps are not on the same page. I will offer that the rep I talked with 2 days ago and the rep I talked with from my VZW phone took time to put me on hold while they conferred with someone while the CS rep I called from my ATTWS phone dealt with the questions directly. I specifically related to the 3 CS reps that the description on the landing page is not accurately describing whether the tethering is included or not and that I wanted clarification on this matter - and I got 3 different answers…

I'm going to upgrade my account, but I'm waiting a day or two until the now-disparate stories meld into a one-party-line perspective in a day or four.

I asked that question 10 minutes ago. She said, 22GB per line for phone data usage and 10GB of data for tethering, per line. If that is also indeed false, I will cancel my upgrade.

AT&T is a mess.

Any single line users get this pricing?

$70 for unlimited plus.

$40 for unlimited choice?

EDIT - again: I've got time to kill while waiting for a client, so I picked up my back up VZW line and got yet another story. The 10GB tethering data bucket is included in the 22GB data bucket, and they'll both be prioritized accordingly. So,:mad::mad::mad::mad::rolleyes::rolleyes:o_Oo_Oo_O:confused::confused: is pretty much the story - 4 different calls, 4 different stories…

With the way AT&T and VZW pretty much almost exactly copy each other in many ways with plans these days I'm almost tempted to say that applying VZW unlimited details (those being that the tethering data is included with the general mobile data and that corporate discounts don't apply except essentially for military/veteran ones) would probably be just as fair of a way to go about it given all the mixed information out there.

What'd the text actually say? Did it thank you for choosing the new unlimited plan? OR just mention you can disable stream saver?

Not quite "welcome," but it did reference the Unlimited Plus plan"

AT&T Free Msg: Your AT&T Unlimited Plus plan includes Stream Saver which allows you to save data by streaming higher definition video at SD quality (about 480p). To enjoy HD video, when available, turn Stream Saver off. Log onto the myAT&T app or call 611 to turn it off/back on anytime. For info see att.com/streamsaver

I received the same message, but I haven't even switched to the new plan yet.

Agreed, my frustration with ATTWS over this is the mixed messages. I know I'm clear with what I'm seeking and I'm not asking leading questions with them about this. Regardless, I'm upgrading that ATTWS plan (while standing pat on my legacy NW UL data plans), at this point one unified answer would be reassuring, me thinks? The terms on the landing page are not clear in this matter, whereas the VZW equivalent landing pages are IMHO.

I have no question about the other elements posted in this thread - FAN discounts, etc. as they're pretty clearly lined out to me. All ATTWS CS reps haven't got the memo yet…
