Has anyone had any luck trying to make their change so it starts at the beginning of the next billing cycle? I keep getting an error when I try to...

It looked like I had to option to apply my fan discount to the non tethering unlimited data plans but now it looks like those plans are completely unavailable

Correct. When I check my account, it now states "RETIRED" in front of the plan name.

I did but it was around 11 this morning. My next billing cycle is in the middle of the month and I set it to start then.

ok so this is what I got from a rep.

Each line has its own 22GB Cap.
Each line has 10GB of tethering that pull from that line 22GB Cap, once the cap is reached for tethering ONLY tethering will be slowed down
Qualified Military FAN will keep there 15% discount

Also in another chat that I forgot to save I asked about the DTV Now discount and which DTV Now subscription would qualify for the deal. The rep said any subscription will do as long as the cost of the subscription is not lower than the offered discount ($25).

Thinking about dropping FiOS for tv and getting DTV Now and Tablo (OTA HDTV DVR/Stream Server) and intergrade it into my apple TV's. Maybe even Kodi and just bump up my internet speed.

I did some research on T Mobile for the areas I travel and AT&T has the better coverage. T Mobile has a good plan for cost but coverage and reliability out weigh the cost in my book.

Agree 100%. I've been using the free 200MB iPad SIM from TMO for the last couple of years to test TMO coverage in my area. AT&T is superior in speed and coverage. Even at $75 a month more for 3 lines (because of the 3 for $100 promo), AT&T is worth it. You get what you pay for. I have had less than a handful of issues with AT&T for the last 10 years.

Comparing service/price.

I'm on att now.

At least on the map of coverage T-Mobile looks pretty good in the Bay Area.

Also if I'm being honest my actual voice usage is pretty low and I'd say 80% of the time I'm on wifi which means spotty coverage can be remedied through wifi calling.

The no FAN discount really is a deal breaker for me along with this amazing promo

They all look good when looking at maps but the reality is most are not as good.

If you get Unlimited Plus and also DIRECTV Now, does the video you watch through DIRECTV Now count toward the 22gb soft cap?

It should not on any AT&T plan. It shows up as sponsored data on the monthly bill (this is on an old FamilyTalk plan with a mixture of data allotments).

So I went into an actual AT&T store and talked to the reps there.

-FAN discounts do NOT apply to the new unlimited plans.
-10GB tethering counts towards the 22GB of "unlimited" data for each line.
-Autopay with debit card is required to receive the advertised pricing. Credit card autopay doesn't get the discount.

I backed out my upgrades from yesterday and will remain on the grandfathered unlimited data plan. T-Mobile is looking really good right now.

I didn't know they offered 200mb for free! Was that a promotion or could I still get it? I would love to try out T Mobile in my area and hopefully it is comparable to ATT

Not sure. It was available about 3 years ago when I got it. Free 200MB of LTE for the life of your tablet.

Not to get off the topic of this thread again but even though I've been with at&t since before it turned into cingular, if you have decent/good coverage in your area the 3 lines for unlimited data(64gbs)/everything(tethering included) $100, tax included, promo is really a no brainer.

Ths CS rep for at&t provided 0 incentives to keep me as a customer when I was explaining why I wanted to unlock my phones.

I expect another unlimited package option to appear sooner than later from at&t.
