Umm... Return your phone and go use another network. Please.

It is not the phone that is the issue here. It's the carrier which is not providing the service they are chaging for, and while we all understand about the intricacy of the network, it's high time AT&T was more forthcoming about when we will see it fixed and offer some form of apology (like a credit)

I agree for AT&T (and ALU) but to be clear here, this has nothing to do with Apple.
Are you in the loop on what the issue is, or you swallowed the PR release?
You don't think Apple and AT&T are in constant communication on ALL aspects of Iphone and the network?? A two or three day drop in speed ok. 7 to 10 days, a 2% which is about 1.5 Million give or take, needs ass kicking from Apple. Cause when people start returning phone for all issues it effects both.

I have the upload issue too (along with the accompanying slowing of dls, which several people have correctly described as a side effect of the ul issue).

While I find it frustrating, everyone's whiny and snotty attitudes almost make me root for the issue to stick around a bit longer til you all bail for droids.

Btw- ipadthai, I'm pretty sure that intentionally trying to beat the profanity filter is against forum rules. Don't bother. We all know what you're saying when we see the stars. You're not clever for working around it.

Ok. I'm done with my rant.
He's a dirty little rule breaker:rolleyes:
Glad your Razr V3 still has a good signal. ;)

This is solely AT&T's problem. The phone is working just fine, as demonstrated by those who are still in areas where HSUPA is working great. In one statement made by AT&T, they say they would have a fix "in the upcoming WEEKS" (emphasis mine), so it could still be a while.

But since we're basically getting Edge upload speeds in 3G areas, it certainly does seem to qualify as a breach of service. Of course, I'm sure there's no legal footing here, but we can at least make sure all the major sites don't forget about this problem if it isn't fixed any time soon.

Day 9. No improvement here in the Quad Cities. Uploads no higher than 100 kbps and downloads no higher than 2.5 mbps.

Whats this $30.00 accessory? I don't use the bump or any case on my phone and have yet dropped a call.

Well whoopty doo for you. Your point is? Unless you have been living under a rock, there are some people around the US for various reason, which I won't speculate on, do have dropped calls. Just because you don't does not negate their experience.

Sinsin07, you sound cute? I want to meet you.... Remember, just the tip. :D

Your post betrays you:
;)

I did use black bumper. I actually bought two and used one. Lately I've been using it naked cause I can't use the phone in the 2g Dock and also the cutout for the iphone isn't wide enough for my speaker connector in my car.

Also, I wanted to test out the dropped calls and signal strength issue.

I do use the Zagg, front and back.

This is getting ridiculous ! Why would Jobs say the iPhone 4 is faster than its predecessor?? My old 3GS is faster than the new iPhone 4! Why upgrade then ?

Seattle on July 11, 2010 @9.01am still having upstream bandwidth capped at less than 97kbps.

AT&T is so incompetent it makes sprint look good.

I called AT&T yesterday to complain about this abysmal upload speeds here in NY. I got escalated to this sassy little bitch of a manager. She was trying to yell at me, telling me I can just return the phone and use a different carrier. She denied the AT&T press release. I then read it to her. She then said... Get this " we as AT&T cannot guarantee service". I asked her aren't I paying you guys specifically for a service? What does that even mean. I told her what if I can't guarantee payment every month then? Stupid stupid manager. I'm gonna call back today to complain about her but after it was all said and done she took off 30 bucks off my bill for this month from the data.

Just wanted to chime in (registered just for this!) - I'm in Eugene, OR and my 3G download speed over the past week and a half (using FCC and Speedtest) has fluctuated between 100kbps and 1500kbps (generally trending around 700kbps). Upload speeds haven't topped 100kbps (lucky if it breaks 60kbps).

Oh, and last night 3G data was flat out down for over an hour (voice still worked).

I loved my 3G, my 3GS, and I'm loving my iPhone4. AT&T usually has a reliable network in Eugene. Can't believe it's taking over a week and a half to fix an issue impacting AT&T's flagship phone.

Day 10 with abysmal upload speeds in the Quad Cities. I really can't believe it's taking them this long to correct something that was working fine before July 2.

I wonder how long the gadget blogs like Engadget, BGR, MacRumors are gonna let AT&T have before they cover this story again. I personally think after a week with no fix it deserves some more attention. Afterall that would certainly encourage AT&T to expedite their response if they haven't already. Without these blogs investigating consumer complaints and holding these companies accountable we all are at a disadvantage.

I firmly believe that we need to bombard their public channels of communication, specifically on their Facebook wall, so that it remains visible and current for all the world to see, and keep updating there until it's resolved or acknowledged with a timeframe or a credit or a complimentary MicroCell or something.

Everyone affected, please go to www.facebook.com/ATT and post your Speedtest.net results and your location on their Wall.
