**AT&T iPhone 4 Order Status Thread**

Got some very bad news this morning when I called at&t to ask about my order status. I explained that I ordered the 15th but my date says the 16th, and they told me because that's when it was processed, that's the date that it goes by. I REALLY hope this isn't true, the lady I spoke with didn't seem to really care about my anxiety (LOL) and said there was no way of telling me when it would ship, and if I would get it on launch day or not.

Has ANYONE with a order date of the 16th received tracking info yet?? I still haven't gotten any, and I'm starting to stress now! I know it's just a phone but like everyone else I am super excited and just wannntttt ittttt. lol.
 
It seems like some of us got lucky....everything went fine with ATT on my end.....i got my order date correct on both premier and the normal att site right (15th)...i ordered at 6am. and i got a tracking number and everything.

I feel your pain bro.. I called At&t & premier and they both don't know a damn thing, mine is still showing "in progress" & "backordered". I ordered mine WAY before the deadline..

From everything I've heard that lady is probably wrong. What's the point of consecutive order #'s if they don't use those to determine who gets their phones before others?

I ordered the 15th, didn't 'go through' until the 16th, and mine is being shipped as we speak. You're good--hopefully you got it done earlier on the 15th though, that should help the likelihood of you getting it sooner.

"Because of unprecedented volume, it may be as much as 72 hours before the carrier can provide any detailed information to you. Please don't be concerned if you visit the carrier's site and specific information about your order is not provided. The information will be updated when the carrier picks up the order at our warehouse."

the fact you saw a number there means one was issued for your order.

I seriously doubt you will see any tracking information today or even tomorrow if they are shipping from inside the USA.
You might also see it make it to Memphis, fedx main hub. And sit there until wednesday.
Apple does not want any delivered until thursday.

this is the way apple handles their releases. People get fired for breaking apples rules

Thanks for the response. So the number that I listed (the one beginning in 4 on ATT's site)is that my tracking number or just my order number that they actually have one for me and should receive on Thursday or Friday?

Just waiting to see it on Fed Ex and then I will relax a little more. :D

Thank you tomandshell.....people keep asking about that and its getting annoying.

Just called At&t premier. the second I mentioned I was calling about an iPhone 4 the guy was like "ohhhhh well then I can't really help you". Then I asked him why the orders were being processed out of order. He acknowledged that he thought the orders were not being processed in order and that he has had many people who ordered first thing in the morning calling in asking why their order hasn't shipped and several who ordered in the afternoon with tracking numbers. This blows:mad:
 
I was "in Progress" all this time (ordered on the 15th at 10am EST from pen and paper in the store, but processed officially at 5pm).

Now marked SHIPPED via UPS

Well my Fedex tracking number hasn't been found.

But my brother's Apple.com order has!

It's now in Anchorage, AK!
 
Ordered mine through premiere at 11am EST and got confirmation email. Premiere site says processing ordered on 15th and the normal site says ordered on the 20th and back ordered! This is why I have two reserved at the local Apple store just in case. Once I get a tracking number I will cancel the reservations.

Ahhhh, thanks for that info. Would be nice if I got that email from Premiere easing my little mind and letting me know something is going on and talking to the normal ATT site.

Thanks again and patience is a virtue I will continue to try and have for 4 more days. :D

The lady I talked to told me they were going out in order, but then I told her my friend placed his @ 330pm and his has been shipped. She didn't know what to say after that. She said pre-orders will go out between the 24th-28th. She was clueless... :confused:

AT&T can't seem to get anything right ever!!!

the number with the 4 at the beginning is most likely your fedex number. Seeing the word null right before it, leads me to believe that. mine was saying null for who was delivering it this morning.

most companies wont print fedex labels and allocate a fedex shipping number unless they are boxing it.

if you are old enough, sit back and have a beer, you should see movement by wednesday noon.
 
For those of you who have had it shipped.. do you receive an e-mail at the same time it's updated on the site? I just want to know if I have to keep refreshing my order status :)

Looks like we are in the same boat, what time is your confirmation email, mine is 11:01am ET, still on back order.
 
Is anyone else's order still just "in progress"?

I order from the regular AT&T website, not premier. I was finally able to check my order the 17th and it said that I ordered it the 17th even though I ordered it the 15th at 10:40am. I called AT&T and they said that they received it the 15th, so that's good.

But still....no tracking number!

I hope so, she really didn't seem interested in helping me at all so I hope she was wrong, but it still made me nervous. I ordered at about 3:20pm eastern time. From everything I've read, I'm an hour before the apparent cut off time so I HOPE I'm good for launch day. We shall see. I wont really be too worried until tomorrow night if I still don't have any shipping info!
