For those of you who have had it shipped.. do you receive an e-mail at the same time it's updated on the site? I just want to know if I have to keep refreshing my order status :)

I have not received a "your order has shipped" email as of yet, however I do have a shipped order status and a Fedex tracking number.

I did get a shipping confirm email for my brother for his apple.com order.
 
Ordered mine through premiere at 11am EST and got confirmation email. Premiere site says processing ordered on 15th and the normal site says ordered on the 20th and back ordered! This is why I have two reserved at the local Apple store just in case. Once I get a tracking number I will cancel the reservations.

Same here. My question is do you think we'll have any problems at Apple picking up the reservation? How will they know we didn't receive it from AT&T (if that happens to be the case)? It seems odd that they would give it to you for $199/$299 and you could still technically receive your order from AT&T as well...
 
I ordered mine on the 15th at 7:30PM EST. I was really hoping that I would receive it on the 24th since I'm not backordered but now I'm losing hope :(
 
Is anyone else's order still just "in progress"?

I order from the regular AT&T website, not premier. I was finally able to check my order the 17th and it said that I ordered it the 17th even though I ordered it the 15th at 10:40am. I called AT&T and they said that they received it the 15th, so that's good.

But still....no tracking number!

My confirmation email is at 9:10AM CT (on the 15th). I'm about ready to cancel my att order and just go with my reservation. My upgrade eligibility hasn't even changed yet to show I bought the iPhone so I'm not worried that it won't get reset in time. What message do you get when you dial *NEW#?
 
Well my Fedex tracking number hasn't been found.

But my brother's Apple.com order has!

It's now in Anchorage, AK!

Mine is in Anchorage, AK as well. However the order I placed for my wife on AT&T hasn't seen a change since order day.

The way I look at it is if I ordered on the 15th, there's not going to a huge delay. Maybe a day or two, but not like several weeks (at least I don't think) but there is just nothing I can do at the moment. I'm going to wait a couple more days before taking action.
 
There is room here for AT&T to make good on everything, but so far I'm coming away pretty disgusted. For getting a successful order in at 8AM on the 15th, getting it keyed in on the 16th ... this is pretty beat. Hopefully I have a tracking number before end of business tomorrow.
 
For anyone who's keeping track and hoping there is a method to the madness (which I somehow doubt, lol):

• AT&T Retail Store, 32GB, delivering to house; ordered 6/15 @ 11:36 a.m. Central (went through computer, not a paper order)
• Order number starts X461
• Status never backordered, showed 6/15 order date
• Paid via Amex, card not charged. Says on receipt will charge when shipped.
• Showing as shipped via Fedex on 6/18 with tracking number (not valid on Fedex yet) as of early this a.m. No shipping email.

Could not order online through premier as it kept going down before I could process the checkout. Ended up having my husband's truck have issues and having to go into the next town to help him -- passed the AT&T store, so stopped in. So I guess I have car trouble to thank that I have a tracking number.

FWIW, my receipt says "Economy Freight" so we'll see what that means...

my upgrade eligibilty has chAnged, it shows that i am not eligible since i ordered

Mine hasn't changed. If it remains unchanged all the way up to Wednesday night, I'm considering camping out and buying one at an AT&T store Thursday morning. I'll let them decide what to do with the one they are "shipping" me.
 
Bout to give up on AT&T, because their reps are clueless lol!! All I want is info and they don't know what's even going on.. :mad:

Holy ****.

So I ordered from an AT&T Store at 2pm CST on the 15th.

I still have no tracking info.. and since I cant ensure I'm guaranteed an iPhone through shipping on the 24th.. I want to cancel my order. (I have one reserved at the Apple Store at 7am locally that I will just get)


I call AT&T to cancel my order being shipped to me.. They said "We can't do that since its 'In Progress'" I'm like wtf? Then she tells me even the store can't cancel it...

Then I ask for a supervisor.. She tells me I have to wait for an email saying if its shipped or not for it to cancel which can be "Whenever.. maybe not the 24th maybe later".

I then am still baffled at how I can't cancel a preorder where they haven't charged me and they can't wipe my information from their system.


Supervisor then says "Go to the store then..."

Which is what I asked for in the beginning and she then goes.. "Oh sorry the other representative said that.. but yes you can go to the store"

Mine changed pretty much immediately on the ATT website when I placed the order on the 15th and I checked the *NEW# and it says full retail pricing.
 
Best way to get any semblance of service from AT&T. Dial 611 from your AT&T phone. Confirm the number you're calling about by pressing 1, press 0, then press 2 (questions about closing your account)... ask about the date that your contract expires. If they've already added the two years for the new iPhone, simple say "What if I cancel that order, then when does it expire?"

Suddenly, they pay attention to your every word.
