As much as I hate to say it, I hope I don't get mine early. I just planned out telecommuting on Thursday so I could be home to sign for it. If it shows up Wed, that ruins my devious master plan!
I didn't say the theory was bulletproof. /there can be other factors. But I think this explains the bulk.
I'm in alaska too. came from Lantau Island. Must all be the same shipment.
Funny, I was looking at the track info and it says they scanned it at 12:29Pm 6-21, then it departed HK at 5:40PM 6-21, and arrived in anchorage at 1:27PM 6-21. 4 hours before it left HK. HA!
Mine also states delivers by 6-23 by 10:30am. Not getting my hopes up, but I can only imagine with as many of these they are going to be handling a few must get delivered by accident.

Anywho, Carla stated that she showed my iPhone was sitting in a warehouse waiting to be shipped out. I confirmed with her that she shows that a unit has been ALLOCATED for me. She stated yes it has.
I asked about why TONS and TONS of people's orders have been processed and tracking numbers have been given. She stated that until the iPhone actually leaves the warehouse it's not assigned a tracking number (obviously). I confirmed that it was still on for the 24th and she said, per a meeting and memo that was held today it would be fulfilled by the 24th.

I agree. I'm just pissed that my order hasn't gotten any updates sense last Wednesday. Has yours shipped? Has anyone elses not shipped? I'll feel better knowing there's other people in the same boat as me.
Here's to hoping something happens by the end of today, overnight, or sometime tomorrow.
I don't know if this has been mentioned, but just a thought. Maybe us customers who ordered from an AT&T are not receiving a tracking number due to the fact that WE are not receiving the shipment, the brick and mortar store is. I can see why customers who are receiving their iPhone at their house would receive a tracking number, but us customers who are going to pick it up at the brick and mortar store may not receive this info. Just a thought.
My order is being shipped to the store where I ordered it, and I received a tracking number.

It will likely even go through Memphis first. I think everything goes through Memphis on FedEX
It requires a Indirect Signature which means yes you can print out the form and sign it and hang it on your front door. We will use that as a signatue.
Check your tracking status and itll tell you the type of signature with a purple question mark. click on that and itll give youmore details!
That makes sense but was told by Fed ex that nothing is leaving till the. 23 overnighted.

I preordered in a store.. on the 15th.. I wanted to cancel it since Apple is guaranteeing my phone on the 24th now while AT&T isn't (I dont have shipping yet).
I call to cancel my preorder since its just being shipped to my place.. They said no and that I would have to go to the store I preordered at.
I call ahead.. they said yes as long as it doesnt ship.
I spend $4.00 in tolls (As this place is close to my office).. I get there.. they then say they cant... and I was given the wrong information by the guy in the store on the phone.
WHAT THE FRICK!!!!
They say they can't cancel preorders on the phone or in the store as their systems require the item to be shipped. So I'm stuck waiting until the 25th, 26th, 27th, or 28th or whenever for it to ship.
They also said if I go to the Apple store on the 24th I would be charged $600.00 for that iPhone since I agreed to a new 2 year contract when I preordered at AT&T and they can't revert it until I get my device.

My credit card didn't get charged yet, no transaction from ATT at all
Ain't got crap...but two pending charges and about a hours worth of hold time with clueless AT&T CSRs...
I just spoke with a "business care representative" regarding my premier order that I placed on 6/15 at about 11:30 central time for a 16GB. It didn't show up on the regular ATT site until the 16th, and that's the order date it shows. I've been backordered ever since.
He put me on hold and then came back and started off reading some generic answer "we are committed... blah blah" then asked me if I've received any of the shipped/tracking email. I said I hadn't and then he put me back on hold. When he came back he said that because of the large demand, they are still working on everything(?), and I should be getting an email "within the next day". He also said that if I don't receive the phone on the 24th, that it will arrive on the 25th.
Still no firm answers, and I'm not sure if anyone has already posted this, but I thought I'd share my call results.

Man. If the kind of energy being wasted by you guys freaking out over getting iPhones at your doorstep the first day they're available for the 5 or 6 days leading up to the day before you were even supposed to receive your iPhones could be harnessed, we could stop importing oil.
