I've been a follower and just registered after reading this entire thread;

I ordered from at&t around 7:30 a.m. EST and it went through; my "date
ordered" or which ever you prefer to call it, is on the 15th, but my order
is still being processed.

If it keeps going this way, I'll be disappointed. Since I ordered early like
some, and my status is still on processed l:

oh well. I shall wait I suppose.
 
Premier order placed at 3:35 AM Central Time on June 15th and premier website still says processing called premier it said it was procedded and awaiting shipment, att site says it's backordered and the att site says my order date was the 17th? wtf then i called premier cs and they said it was sitting in the warehouse waiting to be shipped. Im so sick of the inconsistiency, is it backordered, or processing, or waiting to be shipped it can't be all 3?!?!?! It is so frustrating to have ordered at 330 in the morning and others who placed their order 10 hrs later have already been shipped. Get your crap together att.
 
Man. If the kind of energy being wasted by you guys freaking out over getting iPhones at your doorstep the first day they're available for the 5 or 6 days leading up to the day before you were even supposed to receive your iPhones could be harnessed, we could stop importing oil.

That's the best example of a run on sentence that I have ever seen. :p
 
Just an update here, my fiancé just got a "shipping" email and we ordered back to back at an ATT store in person about 3:30-4PM CDT on the 15th. I'm waiting for mine now.

What time did your order confirmation get e-mailed to you? Can you check the time stamp in your email?
 
how do folks that have date ordered 6/16 have tracking numbers and folks like me that ordered EARLY on 6/15 have not status, pending credit card charges for over a week, and been told there were no issues, STILL not have any tracking numbers. This is total bullkaka! I have no idea what the bozos at AT&T are doing. If folks that ordered AFTER me were also in the same situation then I wouldn't be upset, but this is plain and simple not right...to order first, get confirmation, and then see others that ordered almost a full day after you get tracking numbers. What is that all about???? This is why I'm angry, it's the principal of the matter and lack of what's fair!:mad::mad::mad::mad:
 
AT&T folks should live stream Football match on their status website. We all are getting tired looking at the same old boring page, that way it would be fun visiting their site :p

Wow, I didn't realize so many people were having the same issues as me. I ordered my phone around 5 a.m est on the 15th from at&t and I'm still pending. Meanwhile, my friend who ordered around 11 a.m on the 16th got his tracking numbers already. WTF. I swear if my phone doesn't arrive on the 24th I'm committing jihad.
 
Mine says Anchorage - In Transit - 1:25pm.

I live in Hawaii. So I wonder where it's going to go after Alaska.

I think people are worried because they stayed up to order it at 1:00 am PST on the 15th.
Then they hear if you ordered the iPhone on 16th you won't receive it until the 2nd.
Then they see on the AT&T order page that the order date is on the 16th and that there iPhone is backordered while everyone elses has been shipped.
 
The scary part is last year mine said processing until the damn thing showed up at my house! AT&T had a year to fix this system and did nothing! Morons!
 
has anyone whose order shipped from att have or working tracking number or get a comfirmation email? mine showed at 5am it was shipped and i have no email and the tracking number still doesn't work

Exactly...again..I don't think folks would be in such a frenzy if there weren't people out there that ordered LATER and didn't receive any tracking. I wouldn't even mind if it was folks that ordered from Apple as I was hesitant to order from AT&T in the first place but Apple's site kept crashing so I did what I did. The fact that folks that ordered the same way I ordered but AFTER I did are getting shipping notices...explain how that's fair:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

hi everyone!! i'm from honolulu, hawaii and i ordered my iphone from an at&t store at 11:59 Hawaii time (that means it was 5:59 pm EST and 2:59 PST). I received the following email at 8:37am (hawaii time).

AT&T - Shipment Notification

Your iPhone order is staged for pickup by our shipping carrier. Your tracking number is shown below.



Because of unprecedented volume, it may be as much as 24 to 72 hours before the carrier can provide any detailed information to you. Please don't be concerned if you visit the carrier's site and specific information about your order is not provided. The information will be updated when the carrier picks up the order at our warehouse.



If you placed an order at one of our stores and asked for the product to be shipped to the store for pick up there, our AT&T sales associate will call you when it has arrived.

i'm having it shipped to my local at&t store. does that mean it'll arrive on the 25th like stated in the june 7th at&t memo?

Just got off the phone with AT&T Premier. Woman checked my order (Starts with 1012287) and said my order looks fine and I should receive a shipping confirmation email on the 23rd. Looks like mine is set for delivery on the 24th. Hopefully they're on top of it. :cool:

Yeah well that was via the normal AT&T site, this year I had to use Premiere which adds a wrinkle and gives them an extra chance to screw it up.:mad:

To the people that pre-ordered in store.. and received shipping e-mails..


What time did your order confirmation come in? Can you check your email back from the 15th and report back your time stamp?

You can't cancel preorders....


I preordered in a store.. on the 15th.. I wanted to cancel it since Apple is guaranteeing my phone on the 24th now while AT&T isn't (I dont have shipping yet).

I call to cancel my preorder since its just being shipped to my place.. They said no and that I would have to go to the store I preordered at.

I call ahead.. they said yes as long as it doesnt ship.

I spend $4.00 in tolls (As this place is close to my office).. I get there.. they then say they cant... and I was given the wrong information by the guy in the store on the phone.

WHAT THE FRICK!!!!


They say they can't cancel preorders on the phone or in the store as their systems require the item to be shipped. So I'm stuck waiting until the 25th, 26th, 27th, or 28th or whenever for it to ship.

They also said if I go to the Apple store on the 24th I would be charged $600.00 for that iPhone since I agreed to a new 2 year contract when I preordered at AT&T and they can't revert it until I get my device.

FWIW, spoke to Premier Support (I ordered thru them) and had my contract expiration date reset since my phone has not yet been shipped.
I ordered on 6/15 at 8:30 am est, got a confirmation right away. ATT shows ordered received on 6/19 (what a bunch of idiots). The rep could not guarantee when the phone wud ship, but said "it looks like the phone will ship on 24th" I requested that he reset the expiration date and he did. I checked it on the att user info section.

Now i can go and pick up my phone that I have reserved from Apple
 
So I don't know if most people getting confused by 'broken' tracking numbers are unaware, but most fulfillment centers will use an application that interfaces online with the shipping carrier. This usually uses a database connection to whatever fulfillment software they use, so that when the box is ready to ship, the shipping person scans a barcode, the name/address/package weight automatically populate the UPS/FedEx application, and the carrier calculates the shipping cost, assigns a tracking number, and prints out a mailing label. This then goes back and (usually) backfeeds the fulfillment software's database, which is what you see when you check your order status online.

At the end of the day (at least back when I was doing commercial shipping), the carrier's driver shows up, you close your batch with the shipping provider, the driver signs the printout, and everyone's good.

Depending on the setup, your tracking number may not go active until the day's shipping batch is closed out, and you won't get real tracking data until somebody at shippers' warehouse scans your barcode.

UPS/FedEx are equipped for high shipping volume; AT&T is probably scrambling to box/complete/label iPhones as quick as they can, but there really is nothing to stress about if your tracking number doesn't go active until Wednesday afternoon.

Man I hope she's right! My order also begins with 101228 and the CSR I spoke to this morning said the same thing. Maybe we spoke to the same CSR?
