Just got mine before the 3pm deadline for Next Day Delivery. The fedex guy says they know from experience to make business deliveries early in the morning and residential deliveries in the afternoon when people are home from work, school, whatever. This eliminates a lot of needless driving for them and it works well for the majority of the public.
UPS won't even attempt residential deliveries until late in the afternoon, around 5-7pm.
USPS is the only one who delivers during the day on a normal schedule, business or residential.
ATT activation was a snap online. They say to look in the battery compartment for the numbers you need but mine were the first thing to appear on the phone when I plugged in the charger. They are also on the box. Took about 5 min for ATT to activate it.
I ordered some Zagg protection so I'm leaving the plastic covers on until then. Nice touch by Apple to include them. Zagg will knock 50% off your order if you simply subscribe to their newsletter.
It's hot as hell outside and so was my phone. Might want to cool it down a bit before trying to charge the battery as charging creates even more heat and is not good for batteries in general.

One of my friend who got the iphone on 23rd he said his phone when he touches the bottom left corner then the signal drop. eeek!!!

It arrived an 15 minutes later is was Sync'd and activated.
I have 2 GPS apps that are several gigs and on my "old" 3GS they took forever to sinc - with the 4 they took a few minutes each!

I have seen the signal drop issue - but is a case fixes that I'm OK as I always use a case anyway.
Another email from AT&T CSR says my order was processed 6/17 even though it was placed 6/15. So, I'm in the second or THIRD wave of shipments, which means a few days to two weeks.

Question - When you sync'd your i4, did you restore from a 3GS backup? Also did you upgrade your 3GS to iOS4 before syncing your new i4?
I was just wondering if I can sync my i4 with a backup of my 3G, even though I haven't upgaded the 3G to iOS4? thanks!
LOL, yeah just think of the money att has taken in and not shipped out any product.. WOW, i wish i could run my business from an empty cart!

Got mine and my wife's. Only took about 10 minutes total in the store, including activation. I'm a happy camper! I do have the signal drop issue, but will be procuring a case soon enough. This will be a great surprise for my wife - she's in the dentist chair ATM. Now she'll have something to distract her!

Well, another day and nothing - 5051 batch. Big surprise. At this point I have no doubt that the phone will not come anytime in the near future. I will probably be waiting at the AT&T store on Tuesday to just pick them up as a walk-in. Hmm, I could have just waited at the Apple store today and saved myself the last week and half of aggravation.

Orders 3 iPhones. First iPhone was done via ATT Premier (I couldn't get my other 2 orders through before the ATT systems crashed on June 15th).
So order 1: Placed at 436AM June 15: Delivered Yesterday, June 23rd (one day early) to my brother's home in Maryland (he's on my account).
My order 2 and 3 were placed in the Orlando Florida ATT corp store for home delivery in Florida.
Order 2 just arrived at 155PM today (June 24th).
Order 3 is still showing it's stuck in Memphis (with updated June 24th 835AM FedEX tracking). But that order says I should have received my order by 3PM June 24th. Well it's now 515PM Eastern Time and I have not received my order number 3.
Probably order 3 got stuck in Memphis? Order number 2 when from Ft. Worth to Memphis to Longwood, FL (longwood is suburb of Orlando). But order number 3 went from Ft. Worth to Memphis (and now it's stuck).
Maybe I will get order number 3 by tomorrow.

I bet I'm in the same boat, even though my status page still says I ordered on 6/15. Time to stop checking and stressing about it and just hope it shows up sometime in 2010. Man I'd give anything to be able to tell AT&T to stick it and take my business elsewhere.
5051 batch also but says its on the fedex truck for delivery atm.... maybe you will get lucky... mine did not show any sign of activity till about 6pm 6/23

I was one of the first to order from a local ATT store on the 15th. My online order status says it wasn't ordered until the 17th. My online order status still says "IN PROGRESS".

Benson, who was your carrier? I know for a fact that you can call Fedex to pick it up once the driver has returned from his route. I would assume the same with UPS. I've picked up many items from the Fedex shipping center when I missed the delivery.
