Benson, who was your carrier? I know for a fact that you can call Fedex to pick it up once the driver has returned from his route. I would assume the same with UPS. I've picked up many items from the Fedex shipping center when I missed the delivery.

UPS.. i called.. ups said "we can only deliver to your home/delivery address, you cannot pick up at the ups shipping center" They will make 3 attempts and then send it back to AT&T.

Yoohoo!!! No more waiting for me. Fedex online said, it's going to be delivered around 3:00PM but Fedex Express came at 10:25 AM.

Congrats. Mine is on the truck scheduled for before 3:00PM as well...they have 25 minutes until I am really mad. :mad:
 
My iPhone has been Out For Delivery since 7:00AM this morning. It's 5:45PM and still nothing. The UPS hub is a mile away from my house. I have patience, but for goodness sake this is getting silly.
 
While I did receive my phone via Fedex today as promised, I was very disappointed in the entire process. att did a horrible job from the first attempted online order attempt, all the way to their vague status ifo. Fedex also was less than steller with their shipping updates. This whole process has inspired very little confidence in these companies.

But I do love my iP4!!!!!

Yes mine arrived yesterday afternoon didn't get a chance to start activate till last night.

Switching from tmobile required me to call for porting numbers. I had to wait for porting to open called 7am central took about 10minutes to get a human and was done in about 5 min.

FYI those who need to call this is fast # activate with only 1 human contact no transfers 888-898-7685.

what in the hell is going on!!!!!!! I ordered at 2PM on the 15th and mine still says "in progress" I am fed up. I not only didn't get a phone today it hasn't even shipped yet!!!!!!!
I am making a huge mistake with this stupid AT&T switch. If this is not the most miraculous phone on the planet when it does come I am totally not sticking around for this nonsense!!!!!!!!

I think they heard me since it just arrived! Finally! It was out for Delivery at 7:00AM and just arrived at 6:00PM. Sheesh!!!

Yeah I just called them and flipped out. The CSR said mine is late due to the fact that it had to go through a credit approval process because it was a newly added line to an existing account... I reminded the woman that when you buy a phone at a store this process occurs in minutes while you wait but in AT&T online world it clearly takes 48 hours or more... She actually asked me if I wanted to cancel my order. My brain said yes but my desire to have an iphone said no. I feel like i am truly going to kick myself after I have finally switched over to no-bar AT&T.

A buddy at work today was just ranting and raving how his piece of crap 3GS couldn't even get a signal in his house today.

My wifes iphone 3G and my piece of junk V710 with Verizon went into an elevator - one had full service one had none.... Let me ruin the punchline by saying Verizon service rocks!!!!
 
I ordered mine in the AT&T store around 2pm.

The tracking info says it was loaded on the truck for delivery at 7:42 a.m.,
but they stop delivering at 7pm and still no phone!


I'm gonna be pissed if I took today off for nothing.

Well, I take all my happiness back. They only delivered 1 of our 2 iPhones today! :mad:

I was online for 3 1/2 hours on the 15th and finally got through and ordered 2 phones on the 15th @ 8am, so that I would get it on the 24th to be able to cancel my Verizon contract on time. They told me they were "sorry" :rolleyes: but they have run out of stock of 32gb iPhones! :mad::mad::mad:

My Verizon billing period is until the 28th, so if I do not receive it before the 28th, I will have to pay for another month of Verizon on top of my new AT&T bill.

This sucks big time! Not so happy to start of with a company on this note.

So now we have a phone we cannot activate since we will be on a family plan, as we were with Verizon.

Another email from AT&T CSR says my order was processed 6/17 even though it was placed 6/15. So, I'm in the second or THIRD wave of shipments, which means a few days to two weeks.

Gotta laugh at how ridiculous this is.

It is ridiculous, but I am having a hard time laughing at loosing $100 :/
 
So I ordered by Iphone from AT&T Premier at 10:30am on 6/15. I get an email from AT&T on 6/22 that my phone has shipped. However, the Fedex tracking number since then states "Initiated" and "Jun 22, 2010 4:19 PM -Shipment information sent to FedEx". It initially said expected delivery date as Jun 23 2010 3:00pm but that has since disappeared. Now it just stays stuck as Initiated. I called Fedex and they say a label was likely printed but the package has not been received or scanned by them. AT&T states the package was shipping and is in Fedex's hands. What the heck is going on and where is this phone now?? Anyone else w/ this problem?
 
Just talked to a CSR and she was real nice but had no info, she saw that I ordered on the 15th but it says date ordered on my end as the 17th and she thinks it's because of the delay of shipments and fedex tracking update delays and she believes I should receive my phone very soon. I'm a 5051 still on the boat. And I can't cancel now which was sounding more promising because my upgrade has been used and I would have to pay full price. Wow alot of us have been screwed. Worse experience with a business I ever had.

AWESOME!!! 1 minute ago the UPS guy dropped off 2 iphones!

I asked him if it was a busy day, he said its been a busy week.

He had no idea that he was shipping IPhones and he was surprised that they did not require a signiture since when purchased from Apple they do.

(i ordered at AT&T)

anyways i haven't even opened the UPS boxes yet, so SEE YA!

Well , order placed 6/15, 9am-ish CT. Confirmation email from AT&T @ 9:23 am CT. AmEx pending charge since 6/16. AT&T then "processed" the order on the 17th. Been "in progress" ever since. Each CSR has a different story. "Your phones are boxed and just waiting for pickup," "Of course orders are handled in the order received, it's the warehouse screwing up," and "Oh, I have no tracking information for your order."

What I want to know now is that if they supposedly "processed" our order on 6/17 how did they magically charge my AmEx on 6/16?

Oh precious 32GB iPhones, will you ever arrive? At least UPS will definitely be stopping here tomorrow. Not with our iPhones, but the case of Cab Franc (which cost more than the 2 iPhones anyway) should help ease the pain of being iPhoneless...
