**AT&T iPhone 4 Order Status Thread**

Looks like I'm in the EXTP club too. CC finally got charged on Saturday, now I have a status on the normal (non-premier) AT&T page saying the phone and sim are backordered. Before this weekend I would only get an "order not found" message there.

Order Number: EXTP88967xxx.
Date ordered: 6/26.

I preordered at 4:00 AM on 6/15.
 
Starting to look like there will probably be 2 batches... 6/22 followed by the rest the rest of the Premier pre-orders...

I spoke with a premiere rep minutes ago and they are clueless, I didn't have the time to escalate to a supervisor. I understand they were overwhelmed with orders but at least send out a communication to your customers.
 
At this point, I just want my phone on Friday the latest.

Assuming the Premier reps are correct, the new shipmenet of phones are to arrive on the 29th. Give or take a day or so of packaging and for Fedex pickup...i'm hoping for a Thursday or Friday delivery.

Long weekend coming up and would LOVE to have my phone.

I love how all the contact with ATT has been one sided. It was always me calling them. But heck, they dont forget to email me about my upcoming bill!!

It's such BS.....
Anyway, I'm out of the game. I canceled my pre-order through premier.
I'm gonna take my chances among the masses tomorrow, if I have no luck then eff it.
 
Man, I would cancel too and take my chances through the retail store but I'm a new customer and porting my number from Verizon.

I don't really want to go through the hassle of adding my company discount after I pay for my phone so I'll just have to wait it out.
 
I admit I am out of the loop with all this pre-ordering stuff v. walking in the store so let me know if I am correct.

Tomorrow some AT&T stores are getting the iPhone4. Those will be sold on a first come first serve basis? Or do they have a list where people have reserved them from a certain store?
 
Just to let anyone know looking for an iphone 4 16GB be SURE to check any Wal Mart around you! I was in my local Wal Mart yesterday and they had like 12 in stock...
 
I'm sticking with what I got with the EXTP order #. Yes I might get one sooner at a store, but I don't want to go to the store. This way *should* be faster than the orders starting 6/29 and ones thru Apple online. At this point, who knows? ha ha

Agreed. We should not have to go to the store, and even then, going to the store will be a crap shoot. I'm way too old to be camping outside a store.

Me too for 6/22 - EXTP88966XXXXX (32GB ordered on Premier at 5am on 6/15)

(I've been following this for awhile, but lost my old login from years back. I had to chime in for the good of the cause)

I still am baffled how ridiculous this has been - a coworker put his order in at the local AT&T Store at 11am on 6/15 and received his phone on 6/23. Another friend of mine was in Indianapolis and preordered on 6/15 at 1pm at her AT&T Store for pickup and got hers on 6/24...

Has anyone decodedwhat the EXTP means? Seems all other order numbers start with just numbers. Is EXTP only the premier orders that got effed up on preorder launch day?
 
I'm a member of the "ordered 6/15 6:50 AM AT&T premier, order screwed up, now a 6/22 order number EXTP8896" club as well.

Just got off the phone with "John" from business premier CS. He stated the following:

1) The phone should ship today. He saw no further holds.
2) The phone should actually be in the warehouse. Stated that they were not allowed to process any exchanges until the preorders were fulfilled.
3) He was not sure when/if orders would be shipped today. He stated that they used to be shipped out in batches of 500 at a time all day, but is unsure if that's still the case.

I'll update when/if I know more.

What version are you expecting (e.g. 32gb or 16gb)
