**AT&T iPhone 4 Order Status Thread**

Does anybody know if you can call and change your original, existing 16GB order to a 32GB one?
I searched the forums but couldn't find an answer. Also don't want to create a new thread as I will most likely get flamed by it with "you lazy bastard, just call them and ask" comments. Obviously I will do that if I don't get an answer, can't call right now because I'm at work.

I called the AT&T Order Support line after reading the 32's are shipping faster, but they said that they would have to cancel my order and I would have to create a new order.
I'd like to see a new thread, that only people who have received their phones post in.
They could post...
1.) Order Date
2.) Where from (AT&T Website, Premier Website, Apple Store, Apple Online, etc)
3.) Shipper/Carrier and shipping date.
4.) Receive date
No other commentary. It could serve as a nice, concise tool for tracking the waves of shipments that roll out.

Sounds great in theory, but isn't what this thread meant to be? It won't work without some heavy moderating, unfortunately.
Has anyone come off backorder in the last 3 days? Still waiting, been on from (according to AT&T) July 13, although I order over the phone on July 9. This is crazy that nothing is happening. I am not a happy new at&t customer if this pattern continues.
it sucks! I want my new iphone sooo bad! Someone last friday thought it would be funny to push me in a pool but what the jerk of person didn't now know I had my iphone in my pocket... I had preordered the iphone 4 anyways on july 14th. But It's not so much AT&T's fault. It's Apples they are the one that makes it!
I ordered a 16gb on 7/24... I am just praying that the warehouse closest to me (I am in San Jose California) got like the biggest shipment of Iphones so all the orders can start being filled.... oh a girl can dream. It is monday, I just hope mine comes before i got to L.A. on the 6th of next month D:

Cany anybody help me please, placed my order on 7/12 but order date shows 7/13 cheked this morning and it said Backorder then I went back to check again a few mins ago and it said information not recognized and I go check my bank account and AT&T has just charged me for the phone.... any clue whats going on

You should call AT&T and see what they have to say as they'll know more than we will. But if they've charged your card and it's not just the authorization maybe it's coming off of backorder and will ship soon. Good luck with that.
hmm...i dont know, i ordered 7/12 and came off backorder on Friday...still no shipping confirmation though. You might be off backorder now, maybe they were accessing your account to take the backorder off or something, i'd call ATT

I called ATT they said that they usually dont charge the account until it ships so hopefully thats good news but he went through everything and said nothing seemed wrong with my account so hopefully ill get some shipping info soon and my phone will be here tomorrow or tuesday I hope, I cant wait seems like its been forever

We both are 16GB 7/12 orders.
Mine came off backorder Friday and I was charged for the phone this morning, which is a good thing I'm hoping.
I'll update before the end of the day as to what is going on with my order, If anything changes.
I guess I got really lucky with my order. I ordered 16GB, 7/12 in-store, came off backorder last Thursday around noon, got shipping information that evening, and the phone was delivered at 9:45 this morning. Too bad I'm stuck in work until 3pm... But good luck to all of you 7/12ers who are still waiting!

I just check again, and I am off of Backorder finally... had a 7/13 order date, I already now have a pending charge on my account, do you guys think that my phone will ship today since its only 1:30 and be here tomorrow or wednesday, Im so excited, how does it usually go when you come off backorder

From what saxman is saying along with everyone else, it looks like when it comes off of backorder and you are charged for it (like I was,) our phones should ship by the end of the day hopefully.
Not sure, but according to previous posts, it looks like 2 day shipping. I am no longer on back order also. My order date was 7/13 too. I expect we'll get shipping info this evening. FINALLY!!!
