AT&T iPhone 4S Pre-Order Status Thread

i am hopelessly addicted to checking my order status every hour or so.. i think (i know) that its making me more crazy than is necessary lol
If you read earlier in this thread, that is common. It didn't stop people from getting their's shipped.
I placed my orders at 5:15 a.m. EST on 10/7 (32 GB white and 32 GB black) via AT&T premiere. The AT&T website finally shows substantial info - just as of this afternoon! It says shipped on 10/11/11 via iPhone UPS and I have tracking numbers. Like most people on here, my tracking number isn't registering yet through UPS. Here's the weird thing - I checked my credit card and the charges did not hit and they are not even listed as pending. 
att reps are told will ship on 10/14 to cover their ass in you dont get your phone. rule of thumb set longer expectations if it comes in early cust might be happy or just okay. they dont realize we are fairly smart people, most of us that is.
This gives me some hope. I ordered over the phone around the same time as you. On the AT&T status update page, what does it say for the day your order was placed? Mine says 10/11, which is clearly not when I called.
I spoke with a Fedex CSR on the phone, since my tracking number isn't active. I figured she wouldn't be able to tell me about my package in particular, and I was right. HOWEVER, I did ask her where the package was and when it would be delivered. She said that her information showed I would get it on Friday but that the package is in Fort Worth, TX and that these would begin shipping tomorrow.
So. Hopefully I can get my phone tomorrow afternoon since I'm just over in Dallas, but in any case if my phone is in a crate in Fort Worth I'm confident I'll have it no later than Friday.

There has been a pending purchase in my bank account since Friday when I pre-ordered. Just checked today, & the pending money wasn't taken out & isn't pending anymore. I received a tracking number & everything, though. WTF?!??!
Hello all! First post. I ordered my 4s through the AT&T website. About an hour ago, my current phone (Inspire 4g) wouldn't connect to the internet at all. Did a live chat with tech support and they said that they had activated my Iphone 4s, and to top it all off they "accidentally" removed my grandfathered unlimited plan. Gotta love AT&T today.
As has said previously in this thread, AT&T charges once to make sure it goes through, takes it off then charges it again at the time of the shipping. No reason to be worried.

Wait, your's is FedEx?? Mine is UPS. I wonder what logic they use to determine the carrier?

Same accept they say 10/8 for me. I have accepted I won't get it until next week at least.

AT&T- in store, 64 GB Black, 12:30 PM ordered, and 3 PM email confirmation on Oct 7th.
Gotta get away form this board, we are all inducing mass hysteria on one another. LOL
My only negative comment is this: If I read about people ordering my exact phone from AT&T and getting them days before me because AT&T is just too ********* up to get a simple cue order by time ordered straight, I'll be pretty pissed off.
But I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt for the moment and assume there is just too much demand to allow for efficient updates on their system regarding shipments. We'll see what transpires between now and Friday.

Well, I have internet back on my current phone. But they had to put a ticket in to get my old data plan back and that could take 2-3 days. May have to call them and jump up and down for a discount or something.
Are you inferring the scheduled delivery date because it is has a shipped date of today and was sent with the overnight code, or is the ups.com tracker actually finding your tracking number? My order status shows an overnight delivery, shipping today, but ups.com doesn't have the code listed yet.
