AT&T iPhone 4S Pre-Order Status Thread

Ordered a 32Gb White from local AT&T store on 10/7 at around 1:00PM EST. received my confirmation email at 2:59PM. My order is still listed as back order even though the date ordered on my order status page says 10/7.

I can understand if people say that you ordered after 5:00 PM est and so you missed the deadline for the first batch. But i did my order on time and an AT&T rep i just chatted with says i have will have to wait 21 to 28 days because my order is back ordered.

Still holding onto some hope to see maybe my status will change today. Hell, even if the backorder column goes from 1 to 0, that would make me happy.

They originially told me I would not get for 14-21 days. While I was on the phone the girl actually told me that they just received an e-mail telling them that any more orders processed from this time on would fall into that time frame.

My order was changed out of preorder to processing Monday morning.

This morning I woke up and now it has been marked as shipped (10/10/11) with tracking numbers through Fedex. Just like everybody else, my tracking number is not working.

I spoke to the online agent and he informed me that my phone will be shipped to be on 10/14/11.

Kind of crazy how people who preordered as early as possible still havent heard anything and I preordered mine late in the afternoon and its been shipped already.

Hope this helps anybody who has a similar order as me!

im guessing you either have a black iphone, or a white 16gb
 
Shipped!

Yes! This morning I checked on myAT&T order status and it has been shipped! The AT&T Premier order status page is not updated yet, but just a few minutes ago, I received the AT&T Premier order update email saying my iPhone will delivered "as early as Oct. 14th." Seeing as I ordered before the Friday afternoon first shipment cutoff, I'm fairly confident it will be here on Friday! :D

Interesting note: my phone is coming via Fedex, whereas my brother's iPhone, which was ordered separately yet to the same address is coming via UPS.
 
Just called Fedex -- The tracking # that AT&T provided me is part of a "bulk order" and is not scheduled to move at all until tomorrow 10/13. So I won't see ANY movement on the package until after tomorrow. Lovely.

I ordered mine at about 4:15AM EST and just this morning my order switched from "In Progress" to "Shipped". I wouldn't worry, certainly not yet.
 
To those who called Fedex about your tracking number, I'm curious if it starts with a 5? The fedex CSR I talked to said she'd never seen any fedex tracking numbers starting with a 5 before and that it wasn't even valid formatting for them.
 
Just got tracking number for white 64 gb ordered off att site on
the 7th at 5am central time

see he thing is the 5:00pm batch is a tangled mess of a lie. There are people who've pre-ordered it 11:00 pm friday night, and have already received their tracking #. on the previous page as a matter of fact

ALRIGHT GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!! THOSE WHO ORDERED ON 10/7/2011 STILL DOESN'T HAVE TRACKING INFO YET, THIS MAN IS BRINGING SOME GOOD NEWS ON THE TABLE AND POTENTIALLY DEFEATS THE RUMOR OF THAT 'before 4pm 5pm' non sense from useless at&t reps. lol~

Mine went from 1 to 0 over the night...

It usually takes something like 24 hrs before tracking info shows up for Fedex. Fedex has been notified of a shipment, but probably doesn't have the package in their possession yet or it hasn't been scanned through the system yet.

AT&T also gave me a FedEx tracking number starting with a 5....

yea, i was trying apple like crazy with no luck, but finally and hesitantly went to att and i guess it payed of, but to be fair i will say i get up at 3am eastern for work, so i was due to get up anyway, but last year i got up at 3 as well with work not starting till 9! Boom goes the dynamite
 
I finally got the email stating We wanted to confirm that your order for iPhone 4S 32GB Black on 06-OCT-2011 00:00:00 is still scheduled to be delivered as early as October 14, 2011.

just to reinforce my previous post, those late order guys (that's me) still have high hopes! Who's with me? We will get it!!
