AT&T: iPhone 6S/6S Plus Pre-Order Thread!

To the people who are calling customer service and demanding to speak to a supervisor...

You do realize they know absolutely nothing, right? Essentially they're regurgitating the same rumors and speculations that we already know so you can calm the f*** down and stop getting loud and irritated at people who have nothing to do with why AT&T hasn't updated their systems yet.

Take a Xanax, read a book, and take a breath. It's the weekend. Apple and AT&T big wigs are just coming off their nose candy high from the weekend party celebrating how much money they're all making.

You'll get your phone in a reasonable amount of time. AT&T does this every year. If you can't wait, I'm sure there's plenty of countries with kids who have never seen a glass of clean water or fresh food who would love to hear about why you're so stressed out. So our problems here in the First World ain't so bad.

I am in this same situation. Ordered in the first 4 minutes and show Oct 18th. I also called and got a canned response.
 
AT&T and their agents are not really going to have any information. So much of how it works is a mystery. Are they at the mercy of Apple in what they are allotted? Do they have to pre-purchase the allotment and only order a certain number of units balanced between what they think the pre-order will be and how much they're wiling to spend? And whatever the answers, there will almost certainly be no resolution and no restitution beyond some credits -- maybe.
Last year I got my phone a week before it was supposed to arrive. As Apple cranks out phones, many of the deliveries will move up.

^ ha I can't make up my mind on them and would rather try them out in stores first and preferably wait for a jailbreak already out to transition

They don't either. I lurked there for a day or so last year. Same issues-- lack of information about the orders or conflicting info ("processing" vs. "preparing to ship" vs."back-ordered". Nobody knows anything because they literally don't have any information. They haven't been given it.

Yep figured. Well I'll wait till tomorrow to talk to corporate and then I'll decide whether to cancel or not.

I believe the difference with ATT is that the 6S models are located in storage in the US whereas the 6S+ models are shipping out directly from China as they are manufactured due to demand. This would explain the release date arrivals for the 6s and the October dates for the plus. That's not to say there isn't initial stock or that Apple can't meet the demand sooner. I read in an article (from a couple years ago) that Foxconn can pump out 500,000 iPhones a day at max production.

Yet it would take 38 years to supply the world with iPhones, at that rate. For just preorders alone, it would take 20 days.

I got the regular 6s so I am expecting delivery this Friday. I am not too happy about needing to order from AT&T with their new policies. If I had ordered the 6s+ and it got delayed I would call AT&T about getting the upgrade fee credited back at a minimum.

I agree, I think that the fact that ATT has a unique model may put us at a disadvantage over other carriers.

Sammy, If you're concerned with Xanax I suggest going with the Extended Release. The direct release is far more habit forming. Typically a 1mg Extended Release PO Q 12hrs is good for 6s anxiety. You'll receive an initial period of "who gives a **** about the 6s," then taper to a steadily reducing level over 12 hrs. If you take the Direct Release in 15min you'll want a 5s.

I suggest you try some risperadone, maybe throw in some chlorpromazine for good measure.
 
Does AT&T do overnight shipping? Because on their site it says ship date of September 24th, 2015-September 24th, 2015. I assume it is but I just want to be sure :S

Sammy, listen. While those are appreciated, if your going to discuss psychotropics start with Clozapine Orally Disintegrating Tabs. The others are Liver Candy. Start with a 100mg Waffer and see if you're able to write your name by the 25th.
