.Created an account to point this out, but he's been all over the AT&T forums saying his wife works for Apple and this is how he knows. So if he has differing stories and is known for stirring stuff up, my guess is troll.

I found an AT&T store near me that its closing (permanently) a few days after launch. Might head there that day instead. Never anyone in there
I ordered a 6s and don't have any skin in the 6s+ delivery time frames but interested in seeing how the plus deliveries pan out. It seems like the jjallison1 info could be just as plausible as any rumor out there. ATT delivery estimates are always so skewed it's hard to know what to believe.
So all other carriers know how many phones they received or will receive and are already shipping them, except att... Oh well!
And those of us who purchased the 6s will all receive them on the same day, Friday. I know you are so disappointed that you can't track your phone's every movement from China. If you are curious you can follow someone else's order status and know your phone may be following the same path.
Yeah bro but thats okay. If minedoesnt ship by 9/24 I have some options like, going to att store or best buy early. I alredy confirmed that both will have iphone 6s plus on stock on launch day morning.
So this is a new one... My order is still "In Process", but the pending payment for my two year contract price for my phone has disappeared from my credit card. It was there this morning, now nowhere to be found, not paid, and no longer pending. Any thoughts on this weirdness? Anyone else in the same boat?
Waiting for the 24th to see if I'll get an iPhone 6s Plus on the 25th.

Did you ever think about how canceling one order and creating another may push you further back in the delivery window "line"?
As long as best buy has them in stock, you can definitely cancel the pre-order and get it from apple. I've done this last year where I ordered online for the 6 Plus, but I also decided to line up at the apple store, and apparently they had some in stock and I placed a reservation and canceled the one I ordered online, got my upgrade back in less than a minute.

Lol I meant to say cancel the one from apple. I just reread my post and yes I meant to say if you manage to place an order at best buy old say cancel the order from the Apple Store.
This is weird. Mine shows "Preapring to Ship" on that screen as well but when I tap on it to see order details it goes back to In Process with delivery dat in Oct.
Yeah. They're all going to give you different statuses. Here's what they mean--
"In Process" = "We don't have it yet"
"Preparing to ship" = "We don't have it yet"
"Back Ordered" = "We don't have it yet"
It willn't change to "Shipped" until they have it boxed up and shipping carrier labeled the day or so before it gets to you.
So I'm talking to a great agent at AT&T about my Next plan. See, it doesn't show on my AT&T account page on the webs anymore. So I call to make sure they're no snags. Bear in mind, I ordered from Apple. He tells me that my Terms and Conditions are still pending and I need to go to att.com/tc to accept the terms and conditions before my phone will go out. As I'm trying to sign in, and it willn't let me - it keeps telling me it can't find my order-, he tells me my ship date is 10/2. I says to him, I says, "Well it must have moved up from 10/13 so that's good news." As I'm still trying to sign in he says ...

And I says to him, I says, "What tracking number? It can't have shipped yet." And he replies "well it's right here, let me see... mumble mumble September mumble mumble 2014 ...wait..hold on OHHHhhh I'm sorry.."

Not a new one if you read this thread. Pre-authorizations have been falling off, because they haven't shipped yet. It's normal. They will re-appear when the phones are shipped. Do nothing. Don't worry.
I'm in the Next plan as well. I got the emails for viewing my Customer Service Summary, so I'm assuming my phone will still process through. Besides the fact this is the second time using the Next program.
Well it's looking pretty good for me to get my 6S+ SG on release day. I placed the order on the evening of 9/13 with shipping dates of of 10/16 - 10/23. My credit card just got changed for the tax!
Sounds legit. I will still hold out a little bit of hope that I get my iPhone 6s Plus this Friday or before October 16th.
