Just an update. Still no movement or change in att app/website. Feeling discouraged.

Ordered on pre order day @10:30am From ATT app.
17 pro max Cosmic Orange 256gb
Est ship date Oct 24.
Zero changes since order was placed.
I ordered the same phone on the same day from myatt.com from a Costco link. Ship date also October 24. No updates or any information from ATT. This phone is an upgrade to an existing line. I think that ATT is prioritizing shipments for new lines or new customers over upgrades for existing customers. If so, we may be waiting for quite a while.

Is your order an upgrade or for a new line?

Mine is an upgrade for my 14 Pro Max. If that’s true, that really sucks. I also went on the app and. Went through the steps of acting like I was going to upgrade my wife’s phone just to see what the estimated ship date would be. At the end in the cart it says it would be delivered October 3. How is it possible that if I did that for her she would get hers before I would? Just kind of crazy. I know ship dates can change at any time, but this one is frustrating to me.

No AT&T does not prioritize orders for new lines of service before upgrades.

The workflow system actually has no way to distinguish or identify the difference. You both just happen to order the hot color if the year, and until manufacturing catches up with demand your dates will not improve.

As a reminder Apple controls all the inventory since they own the Supply Chain.

I just tried a sample order for your iPhone 17 Pro Max Cosmic Orange 256 GB Estimated delivery: Oct 3 - Oct 17. They don't keep updating the estimated dates in the system all the time. If an iPhone combination in-stock then it is fulfilled overnight. However this close to the tail of the launch rush, most iPhone combinations are almost all on a Back-order status in the AT&T internal system.

Any device you order directly from AT&T is in a queue based on the combination you ordered. If you order 2 of the exact same configuration it is possible for your second order to be processed slightly before your first order since there are multiple lines where orders are pulled, and packed for shipment. Any difference would not be measured in days but at most a minutes.

Well guys, for those of you having trouble figuring out whether your order will eventually be delivered, I have a friend who usually shops at AT&T. I told him about my problem and he told me to do this:

enter your order details as usual — the order ID, ZIP code, and last name — then just wait for the result and check if there’s an internal ID. If this ID shows up (yes the one marked in red), rest assured that within 48 to 72 hours your device will already be in processing for delivery. I waited 6 days, and when the internal ID finally appeared, literally 48 hours later it was being delivered right to my doorstep.


With this, it’s much easier to know than having to call and ask AT&T.
 
Ordered my 512GB iPhone 17 Pro Max in Cosmic Orange on the MyAT&T app on 09/15/2025 @ 12:35 CST, & I’m a FirstNet customer. When ordered expected Delivery date was 09/30/2025 - 10/14/2025. When I check my order status it says ship by; 10/13/2025. What’s the chance it ships earlier or unfortunately is that pretty accurate? So far no tracking info from UPS or FEDEX, and when I put my phone number in the activation portal it doesn’t show a new phone yet. Thank you.
 
They tried to charge my card I have to update it this morning it's annoying because I did not place it at AT&t but authorized retailer I have to wait an hour till they open

I ordered a 17 Pro Max 256 cosmic orange from T-Mobile on 14 September. I just received the tracking number with an estimated arrival date of 1 October.

Ready to ship, Steve Harvey says show me tracking number original shipping date estimate was October 27 to November 10

My mom phone ordered on family plan first net Att has delivery date for November 7 ordered on preorder date.


Is possible to cancel and order from Apple it self ?


Two agent didn’t want to help us.

What configuration did she order since the date is based on configuration ordered? Did you check Apple online order to see what dates you get for a similar configuration.

I don't think you can do a line upgrade via Apple for a Firstnet individual. I know in the past you would need to purchase at Full Price from Apple. Is your mother the Firstnet individual or just a Family member on the Family Plan?

my dad the main first net user rest of us are part of the family plan 256Gb iPhone 17 pro max silver I want to cancel it and buy it from apple it self It was purchased from att store in person the order that back ordered.

my phone on IUP I moved away from att it self ordering from them

Do you have the Order number? If you do you might be able to cancel your order online at https://www.att.com/orders/history

At this web page:
  • Enter the requested info.
  • Select the order you want to cancel.
  • Choose Cancel order or Cancel item.
The line's eligibility will be reset in about 30 minutes if you are wanting to upgrade the line vs paying full price.

After this you can purchase anywhere that AT&T iPhone models are sold. Apple Retail store, Apple.com, BestBuy for example.

first net agents I spoke to two ladies over the phone when I saw the phone available at my Apple Store for pick up.

They told me we don't see your order number or we need to escalate this your manager. It might take one business day to get canceled.

So since I went to the store to do an exchange, the sales person/manager told meWe deal with first net. You could just cancel your order att and place it here if you find it in stock again.

So basically this week I found the phone twice at my Apple Store but the agents at AT&T first net wasted 40 minutes of my time because they couldn't find the order number or they needed to escalate this to a manager and then the phone sold out instantaneously, but I've need the eligibility to reset it so I can make the purchase and use to get the promo with the trading


yes it shows a cancel option want to be sure it will let me make the purchase from apple with the account first net family
