Is there an actual UPS Customer Center nearby? I know if you choose to hold it there, it's available first thing. If you send it to a UPS store, I don't think it will be available until sometime later after it's delivered there.

Is there an actual UPS Customer Center nearby? I know if you choose to hold it there, it's available first thing. If you send it to a UPS store, I don't think it will be available until sometime later after it's delivered there.

For those that want to know...
If your phone was shipped via UPS - You can have it HELD at the facility.
If your phone was shipped via FedEx - It can NOT be held at the facility or changed.
Now, can you leave a note/signature on the door for either, I do not know. I normally have ordered from Apple and have the UPS package held. This is the first time, in a long time that I have ordered from AT&T and it's being delivered by FedEx. Some say you can leave a note and they will leave it. Other say no.
The only thing I can see that might be possible for those with a FedEx delivery and can't be home, is the Vacation Hold option. I don't know if you can pick it up on Friday though as I am still researching that for Vacation hold.
If anyone has any info that would be great. I can't be off tomorrow and I am not going to waste my day waiting around. If they will leave the package without signature, great! If not, bad.

I'm pretty sure that FedEx has always just left the iPhone deliveries in the past without a signature. I've ordered from AT&T every year and don't recall ever having a problem. I'll probably leave a note just in case.

I ordered an Apple Watch series 3 from AT&T. Before going out of town, I taped a letter to my front door asking them to hold the phone at my local warehouse and I would pick it up when I came back. I put my tracking number at the bottom of the letter and signed it. After I got back from vacation, I picked the phone up. Make sure you have your drivers license and tracking number.

Ordered a 64gn SG on 10/27 at 3:37 pm est and was given the 12/4-12/17 delivery date. Got 1 text and 1 email after pretty soon after. Status had however changed to preparing to ship on Saturday but the delivery date didn’t change. Even chatted to a rep to see if the date had changed and he said that same delivery window.
Got shipping notice early this morning coming from FT Worth (Fedex) coming to Northern Colorado tomorrow.

Called FedEx and they confirmed that no signature is required for this delivery. Make sense.. as it doesn't show one required when I track it (like it does sometimes).
I am going to leave several large notes, in COLOR on my doors for them to leave it. Hopefully that will happen.
Woof. I ordered mine at 4:11am ET and it still shows "In Progress" with shipping date of 11/2-11/10. So frustrating...

Silver 256 ordered through ATT @ 4:05 eastern via ATT app due to not getting in on the Apple app I did get a 11.3 delivery date and was SHOCKED since I ordered it so late. That night was crazy!!!! When I did get in the app kept getting the error that there was a problem. I watched as ship dates kept slipping. I really thought this would be the first iPhone I wouldn’t get on launch I have fun with this and look forward to it every year
Space Grey 256 ordered through Apple site @ 3:09 eastern (my son got in) and he didn’t have a problem or get an error with the handshake to ATT. He was soooo lucky! He tried for me and kept getting the error too for my iPhone. Weird how one worked and the other didn’t. I am the main account holder too
Both are in Louisville now (his came from China) via UPS and will be delivered tomorrow. I cannot wait. Super excited for the new iPhone.

I'm guessing FedEx has the same route around your area every day, so I'd imagine they get to your house around the same time they always do for packages, whenever that may be. Only you would really know the answer to that question.
AT&T order 64GB silver ordered 6:30 am PDT 10/27, est ship 11/2-11/10, got email with tracking number 1:48 AM this morning it has shipped via FedEx for 11/3 delivery !
