I agree on that. Since Premier are paying nearly 1/2 retail cost, it would definitely make sense that consumer orders paying full price get a priority and Premier/business orders at the back of the line.
I guess it depends on your companies agreement. I believe our cost on the 256 was $599. Hence why I went this route vs paying ~$1149+tax!
The AT&T rep I spoke with gave me some line about maybe they had "more demand" for business orders, business orders ship out of a different warehouse, all orders ship as they receive them,etc etc.. Seemed like she was just reaching for an excuse of why Premier orders were being fulfilled more slowly/back of the line.
Thanks @melanielynn4 @ksoze @plasticsboss24 for all sharing your Premier order experience. It does appear that Premier orders are delayed in favor of AT&T Consumer orders. As time has gone on, obviously Apple is devoting more and more resources to ensuring that their own stores and online orders get stock first and everyone else is 2nd fiddle. From some of the other carrier forums, like Verizon others are saying that 10/27 orders are still sitting as well.
I ordered two SG 256’s (one for myself and one for my wife) over two days before you did and am still ‘in progress’. I knew that I was going to have to wait a while but seeing orders shipped when they were placed well after is very frustrating.
Wow. Good news for you. That stinks for some of us business customers (Premier) who've had orders sitting since launch day some of us. Mine was the 3rd much later that some of the others, AT&T still sitting on them.
