Did you have to cancel the AT&T order first before doing the one on Apple's site?
No, I jumped on the apple purchase and then canceled my At&T order.

Just posting a follow up. ATT order from ATT. Ordered on the 11th of this month, just received an e-mail that is shipped. 64GB Silver. Not bad! Hoping it makes it here next week; shipped via UPS.
20 days for meJust quoting myself for another follow up. UPS notice received that delivery is scheduled for this Friday, the 24th! Ordered direct from ATT store on the 11th, and receiving the 24th. I'm happy. 13 days from order to delivery! (Here's hoping it shows up Wednesday but that's probably pushing it, lol).
So, is there any point in checking the AT&T order status page throughout the day, or is updated overnight and that's that?
Ordered a Silver 256 on 11/1 with delivery 11/30 to 12/7, so I expect that it could be about time from some status changes
Same here, AT&T Premier order on 11/3 for SG256. Also sitting on a 12/11-12/18 ship date, still "In Progress". AT&T blames Apple for lack of inventory, says they are shipped as soon as they have them. It seems that a few on this thread have gotten their SG256 even with later order dates so they are shipping albeit not in any particular order.I ordered the SG256 model on 11/3/2017 around 8:00am, with an original shipping date of 12/11 - 12/26.. Then the next day, it updated to a ship date of 12/11 - 12/18...
No movement since then...
I ordered 10/27 at 6am with an estimated ship date window of 12/1-12/15. SG 256. Yesterday late or early this morning status moved to "Preparing for shipment." Hopefully, others like me will see movement soon, although I have no idea how long before it actually shipped. For what it's worth, one rep agreed with me that there could be a geographic component to the order of shipping. Bigger cities may get their phones first. But who knows. Best of luck to all!

What time zone was this 6am iPhone X order, if you don't mind me asking? I ordered at 8:18AM Eastern time for the SG 256 as well and am still sitting at 'in progress'. Happy to see your status change. I am hoping mine does soon as well.
To add to the fire of geography possibly playing some sort of factor. I also live as far northeast as possible, MAINE so obviously there are no big cities here... but again idk if this is factor is true.
Hate to rain on your parade, but the "Preparing to Ship" status is not a very good gauge. We have been at that stage on and off for several weeks. In fact, if you refresh the page with that status, it may say flip to "Processing Order".
I realize it's not the absolute best status. It's not my first rodeo. However, I have refreshed and reloaded. Status the same. I prefer to be an optimist and see it as a positive move...even though there is no way to know how long before I get it. At least it's something.
Just wondering with all the moment of the SG 256 model and a lot of orders being received have any Premier customers who ordered on preorder day or later received theirs yet??
Getting kind of frustrated and feeling kind of forgotten by AT&T.

As time as gone on, Apple is taking more and more of the stock for pre-orders and carriers are left with little. Plus, carriers are not real great at these large pre-orders with managing logistics and supply chain. Apple is better at that. Unless you have to go with AT&T for things like corporate discounts, go to Apple next time. You will get it sooner.I’m so done with AT&T. I’ll just wait for my expected shipment date of 12/4/17 - 12/11/17
and try to forget about the order until then.
Lesson is simply learned, never preorder from AT&T again.
Their preordering process is contradictory & their reps are feckless when it comes to these matters.
I preordered the iPhone 6 Plus in 2014 directly through Apple. That shipment was backordered 9-12 weeks but I received it 2 ½ weeks later.
The only reason I got stuck with Pre-ordering through AT&T this time around was because i was unaware that as a prepaid customer, I could not place an online order so on preordering night i kept being met with a “Your existing rate plan isn’t an eligible iPhone plan” message every time I tried to submit my preorder
which forced me to go into an AT&T retailer later on that day & have a sales person process the order. By then orders were pushed back 5-6 weeks.
I will know better the next time around.
