Wow. This thread has quieted down.

Has anyone who reported pre-orders still waiting, with orders from 10/27-11/3 mostly for the SG/256GB gotten shipping? These are AT&T quoted ship dates from Dec 4th-18th range.

AT&T continues to show the same range of shipping for NEW orders placed today. Some have been told by CSR's that AT&T is expecting "a big shipment" to clear backorders and new orders likely in the coming week. It appears that those that are currently stuck in the backlog wont see anything until next week at the earliest.

Several over on the AT&T Community Forum backorder thread are reporting the same.

IStocknow is reporting loads of 256GB on Verizon and other carriers. It appears the the elusive 256GB SG on AT&T still remains extremely constrained even after 3 weeks. The other problem could be AT&T direct as several others have said on this thread.
 
I ordered a Silver 256gb on 12:33PST on 10/28 via Premier and subsidized pricing. I just received my shipment notice and Fedex tracking number.

Original delivery window was 11/29-12/6 and never changed since order date.
 
My Apple store has them today so I cancelled my AT&T order and cannot reserve in store due to them not reverting the upgrade eligibility. yippee.
 
SG 256 ordered 10/27 via Premier:

Called in yesterday and spoke to Latanya. She was very honest about the situation. I asked her if orders were being filled FIFO and she said that she didn't see any consistency in how the orders were being filled. She also apologized and basically told me the dates may change but, there is nothing that she can do to get me the phone.

She did say that an AT&T corporate store could give me the same premier discount but, trying to find stock in the store especially for the SG256 would be difficult.

I have been watching istocknow.com but, they don't seem to list the carrier stores.
Anyone know if there is a place to search AT&T iPhone X stock?

The release process only takes a couple days from what I’ve read. Did u call AT&T and ask them to clear it and restore your upgrade? I remember one poster saying that that got them progress.
 
So looking at my account, my current next plan had already been paid off and then the new one for the X was in a pending state. After about 45 minutes of them working on it I was told I will just have to wait for their system to show the upgrade as available. I guess this is what I get for being impatient.
 
Received my iPhone X last night via UPS. I ordered mine around 6pm PST launch day and originally had a target date of Dec 11 - 18. Then it was moved up to Dec 1-7. But then my credit card was tagged Nov 15, shipped Nov 16, and arrived last night (21st).

AT&T, silver, 256G

May not be the right place to ask but I was going through the set up process. Somehow, the backup to iCloud of my 6+ would not work. I suspect lack of space. And the backup on my laptop didn't work for some weird error but then I finally got it to work and realized that that probably wasn't what I wanted but I was going to check here and see...

I eventually set it up as a "new iPhone" and changed its name. It had already adopted the other phones name. I intend on keeping both phones.

With all the iCloud stuff -- what is the effective difference between the two methods? What are the pros and cons? If you want me to ask this in another forum I'd be happy to. If you are thinking "get off my grass Pilgrim" -- I can understand.

What the hell..... that is total B.S.... i am certainly happy for you.... but I ACTUALLY pre-ordered a 256GB SG on 10/27 with ATT Premier as well, and yours just shipped for an order made 12 days later on 11/7.... that is messed up... completely unfair at all.

Mine still shows in progress, estimated ship date 12/4 - 12/18 on the ATT order page.


I totally agree also a Premier Business Client who ordered on 10/27 a SG256 at 6 am and was frustrated up to now but now they are shipping Premier new orders before preorders lets say livid doesn't even begin to express how I feel?!?!?

Are you still in progress like my order??? seeing as we ordered the same configuration phone 2 hours apart from each other, I would safely assume that our progress of the 2 orders should be fairly similar.....

Yes, hasn't changed still in progress....... I believe you paid full price for your phones as well didnt you?
 
@melanielynn4 and @plasticsboss24 not to mention AT&T is quoting the same est ship dates for orders placed TODAY! Checking Istocknow, Apple stores are beginning to get more SG/256 in stock. Which means Apple is loading up for BF weekend. Of course, AT&T will still continue to make excuses for why ours continue to sit "In Process". As I suspected, we will not see anything updated before next week, maybe shipping in the next 1-2 weeks at best.

Yes my employer paid in full price. I am one of more than 10 lines on the account so I would hope to get preferential treatment because of the amount the company pays AT&T annually... BUT OF COURSE NOT, that would't be logical, RIGHT?!?!?! queue the sarcasm...

And yes it appears we are the only ones left @melanielynn4 .... I'm so annoyed with AT&T, their sales people are also completely useless when I call and ask them to explain why orders placed after me or at that same time have already been fulfilled.... they literally have no excuse other than the phone was backordered since the pre order date and AT&T will ship my phone when they receive it... it is such a load of CRAP.

Another poster @jpkinfla didnt say if he was Premier but also waiting since 10/27.

Common thread so far appears to be Premier and SG/256 although there was one other who said he was Premier and got 1 SG shipped (later order) but still waiting on others.
 
My ability to upgrade finally was restored and I was able to get the order place via the Apple store. Heading that way as soon as the office gets closed down for the holiday weekend.

Still here. One of our SG 256 phones shipped a week ago and just got email one SG 64 just shipped. My SG 256 still sits in limbo however. These were grandfathered pricing, Premier orders all made at 3:34AM ET on 10/27. Would have liked to have it during Thanksgiving, but have ceased hoping it shows each day.
 
Count me as another person who ordered through the Premier site on 10/27 at 3:31am and still shows and estimated shipping date between 12/4 and 12/18. I just checked this thread to see if calling Premier and complaining helps at all, but sounds like it won't. What a bunch of BS. I've preordered with them every year for the past 4-5 years and never had an issue until now.

Yep, same old excuses from people who just look an an order on a computer screen and have no idea of what the warehouse people are doing. Their favorite phrase is "I dont know", anything to get off the phone and on to the next customer.

Meanwhile, loads of SG/256GB of AT&T Phones are hitting Apple stores to be ready for walk in pickups for BF shoppers while our Premier friends continue to blame delays on Apple for phones that have been on order for 3-4 weeks.

I had AT&T Next but picked the Apple Upgrade Program. The cost is you are forced to get Apple Care. Many folks say that that is a mistake and others say "eh... I like the peace of mind".

If you are close to an Apple store, I would check to see if can pick one up yet. If not, I'd order it from Apple. But, truthfully... I have absolutely no reason not to go to the AT&T store.
