With the Apple store app, can we upgrade both lines on our at&t account in one go?
Or do we have to attempt it separately for each line on separate devices (and hope we can get both)?

And if at&t has a trade in program can that option be selected through the Apple store app?

Can a trade in option and at&t insurance be added after completing the successful pre-order if not selected during the process?

Thanks

I will be ordering from Apple but I just got off the phone with AT&T. Discussing
my Apple Watch billing. I was told that AT&T is doing a promotion for a buy one get one free with a new line. For the iPhone X. I checked on the AT&T website and didn’t see any offers. Has anyone saw or heard that offer?

I am a sales rep at an at&t Corp store, as of right now no bogo on iPhone x.

Are you 100% sure? If yes... I will try to preorder one for her tonight. As long the data plan will not be tied to her line if she decided not to use the iphone x. Thanks.
Yes I am 100% sure. Data plans are tied to specific devices. For example, if you have a Smartphone, then it must have a Data plan even if you don't want or need one.

The Data plan is not tied to a line, it is always tied to a device and it's capabilities. If your mother tries the iPhone X and decides it is not for her, she just needs to call AT&T and tell them the truth and that she has decided to go back to using her previous phone. Just need to provide the IMEI of her original phone and ask the rep to remove the data plan. That easy. Her VoiceMail will have to be set up again since the iPhone uses Visual VoiceMail.

Note: You mother will lose her current and saved VoiceMails. I remind everyone that just in case they have one or more VoiceMails that they are saving.

Apple Store app still won't display 30 Month NEXT plan, even after confirming my account details in the app. I'd rather save a few bucks a month, but I assume that I could call AT&T after I lock in my order to change to the 30 months NEXT schedule. Anyone done this in the past?

Apple does the 30 months too but you choose later on in the app.

I am forced to purchase via the att.com website due to I want to put a down payment on the X. Any advice for purchasing on the att website?

Are phones ordered/shipped from Apple separate from AT&T’s inventory of iPhones? If so, I don’t see any disadvantage of ordering through AT&T as the other AT&T customers will be in the same boat vying for the same allotment of phones.

Can we opt in to the AT&T trade in program in the Apple store app?
Or do we have to use the myAT&T app if we want to do the trade in?

Thanks Dave. I plan on letting her play around the phone first and not activating it to see if she likes it or not. Does it mean that as long she doesn't active the iPhone X, she will always be on the non data plan? Thanks again

I think there is a 14 day return window on phones!! Im sure you would make someones day if you returned it lol

Will we have to refresh this page after the queue is done counting down or will it take us right in?

Wondering the same. Earlier today I paid the remaining $160 balance on the two 6s+64GB phones on my account. But now, it seems like a no-brainer to order through Apple and take the $250 gift card versus ordering through AT&T and accepting the (up to) $200.

Am I missing anything? Besides the obvious $50 difference, the Apple / Brightstar trade-in seems fixed at $250 vs. the AT&T trade-in of "up to $200" that could wind up being less. Phones are both in great condition, always in cases and just light scratches on the screen.
