I tried the myATT app at midnight and it didn't work at all. It kept erroring out and pushing me further down the queue. So instead i went through the Apple Store app and was one of the first ones to get in so I got to place an order for a 64GB Silver (i refuse to pay more than a grand for a phone), but the order wasn't complete because they couldn't contact the ATT servers to verify my upgrade eligibility and they didn't have the 30 month Next option. I wake up this morning (well 5AM pacific) and on a whim checked the myATT app again to see how far the dates had slipped. Only they hadn't... I just ordered my 64GB silver through ATT for delivery on the 3rd. I'm thoroughly impressed.

Identical scenario on my end but I went with the 256GB.
 
Was able to snag a 64GB silver from AT&T with Nov. 3 delivery just now. I'm skeptical as to if it will actually get here by then. Worth a shot.

I just ordered one too. Used my sons account upgrade. Mines from the apple store is quoted as a Nov 17-24 delivery so we'll see which one gets here first and cancel the other order
 
So I mentioned this in another post but when I ordered through AT&T when ordering went live it was only giving me the option to upgrade if I paid for the phone in full. I thought if you were on the next payment plan you could just continue on with that as long as you made the minimum 12 payments on your current phone? Anyone else have that issue or do they only allow you to upgrade on the next play if it's been a full calendar year?
 
Not unthinkable as each carrier has their own preorder stock.

The 64 models were overall far less desirable this year than the 256; and the silver less than the space gray slightly.

Even the space gray 64gb still says 11/2-11/10 ship date which isnt terrible.

Same here, just placed an order on the silver with the same delivery date.
 
What's up with Apple & Reservations????

I received an email with a reservation number, but no idea of any delivery date?
 
Woke up at 2AM, AT&T premier wouldn't work at all and I told myself I wasn't sitting there all night so I went back to bed. Just ordered one, 7:55 AM CST, 256GB Silver for delivery by the 10th. We'll see what happens.
 
YES, just got this 2nd confirmation email. Fingers crossed that the delivery date wont change.

I submitted my order for a 256 SG on the ATT premier site at 3:20est. I’ve gotten 2 emails. The link to check the order status in the 2nd email takes me to my order on the ATT site and it says “In Progress” I’m doing an upgrade on the installment plan and my CC has been charged $90.52 (looks like the $25 activation fee plus a months service and fee?). Delivery date says Nov 3rd (no date range). I’m optimistic. First time ever the order process on the ATT site went smoothly. It’s nearly impossible for a Premier customer to order via Apple, even if you’re paying cash. I’ve done the walk-in thing and boughten an unlocked phone straight up before but getting one without a carrier link on launch day is tricky. Apple has never been able to link Premier accounts unless there’s an ATT rep in-store (who will activate your phone after you buy it). No way to do an ATT installment plan via Apple though.

I had that issue to when I went to get upgrade. It took me a few minutes to get it changed to where I was able to upgrade with the NEXT plan.
 
Weird. I'm wondering if I can call them to change it without screwing up my order.
I thought it was weird to, as I haven’t had any problems the last couple of years..between being half asleep and clicking as fast as I could to get the pre order in I can’t remember how I changed it.
 
Had lots of issues with mine. On the Next plan and wanted to trade in my IP7+ toward my IPX, however I could only get an option to pay off my remaining balance and then pre-order after waiting 8 minutes in the queue. I figured I would do this to get the pre-order done, then sell my IP7+ if I had to, however, could not get any credit card to accept. My CC flagged it for some reason, I am guessing all the attempts, even though the ATT website was stating the card information was wrong (it wasn't). Eventually I checked on my CC website and had to authorize the charge (showed 3 times), however by this point I was trying through the Apple site, which said I could upgrade via trade it. So at this point, I re-checked the ATT website, which was now allowing me to upgrade with ATT Next so I did. I think at this point I have paid off my IP7+ though, so if my wife does not want it, it will go to Gazelle or something similar who are offering $330, slightly less than the what I paid off..

The whole ordeal took nearly 40 minutes.

That being said, I got my order placed at 3:40:21 AM EST with an immediate confirmation email. Received my order status email at 7:51am EST stating Expected Delivery Date 11/3/17

Ordered Iphone X 256 Space Gray. Have previously gone through this pre-order process for ATT for Iphone 4, 5, 6P, and 7P

Of course I'm having a problem with my luck.... I log on to my account and have a notification that says "Don't want your order cancelled? Call ......"

it was prob because you had a balance on your account

I think Im going to order from carrier next time. Ive been preordering through the Apple app for 3 years and have yet to get one ob release day.
 
I shouldn't have as I made sure a couple weeks ago to pay off any remaining balance to upgrade.
i had that issue last night, and it was bc my new bill had posted....so i paid that and then ordered mine...first time for me going through ATT, i went through apple first and it wouldn't complete my order at the last stage.....then i went and paid my bill on ATT site...then my order went through at 3:26am....i still have Nov 3rd delivery

Yeah.... I think we can all agree that was far less of a nightmare than we'd imagined. At least, for now... lol
i think that is kinda why they had an OCT pre order, so they can really try to crank out as many phones as possible....an extra 30 days is alot of IPX's to mass produce...last night was kinda painless
 
Ordered 256 GB SG through Apple website at X:04 and got an email stating it was reserved but couldn’t reach AT&T website. Went ahead and ordered a 256 GB Silver through AT&T at 8:00 am and expected ship date is Nov 2 - Nov 10. I’m happy with that.

Also got lucky and my local Apple Store had a Series 3 42 mm SS Apple Watch in stock so I’ll be picking that up today after work. Been trying to get one of these since launch day.
