Is this the 30 month plan? I got the 64GB and my monthly is $41

Yup. It was the only plan they offered. Strange, I was on 24 month plan with my 7+, and 12 month plan with my 6S+, both of which allowed upgrade after twelve payments. But now with the 30 month as the only option, I guess I’ll have to have some money set aside if I want to upgrade next year.

They still have the 24 month plan, with 1-year trade in. It was a small print option. You can change it after you get the phone.
 
By the way, about the email thing. I was going bananas wondering where my confirmation email was.....it ended up being sent to my junk box, but it was there the second I placed my order (2:32 am CT). The second one, aka the “good to go” email didn’t arrive until almost 4 hours later at 6:29 am CT. I was so relieved when it came, after experiencing so many glitches during the order process. Still on track for Nov 3 delivery as of now.

My experience with Att today ended up being a nightmare sort of. First when I went to preorder on ATT site I wasn’t given the option to put money down on my preorder. So I chatted with a rep and they gave me a number to call at 8am est. I called that number right at 8 and got someone who told me that they couldn’t help but to go into an ATT store and they would help. So I went to an ATT store and the rep there couldn’t even pull up my order so he had be call 611 and they gave me another number to call. So I called that number and they said that there has been an issue pulling up pre orders and they wouldn’t be able to help me out till Sunday or Monday and they didn’t know if they could keep my order or they would have to do a new one. So, I was extremely fed up at this point and used my reservation on the Apple store app and cancelled my ATT order. So now I have to wait 2-3 weeks.

Not exactly, you need to pay off 80% of the total or 24 payments on the 30 month before upgrading.

If you want to just keep the phone 2 years its ok, but if upgrade every year not the way to go.

Will I be able to take my old phone into an ATT Store once I receive my X? (I’m on ATT Next)

Also, I have a small dent along the bottom of my iPhone 7 Plus. Do you know how picky ATT is and if in the case they don’t accept it, will I be able to buy out the phone from them (which I believe is around $350) or have them charge me a bit more for “repairs?”

ok so I called AT&T e-com department (866-267-4510) to see what the latest is since I haven't received a text yet. They were able to see more details into my order and they see it in preparing to ship status even if it shows 'in progress' on the site. CSR said my phones will ship 11/2 with delivery of 11/3.

You are going to have a return label in the box that you get your X in. Just slap that back on the box and drop it off at a local mail carrier.

As for the dent, you should be fine (depending on severity). The only thing they care about is the screen not being cracked and the buttons work.

Congrats. That's an excellent approximate ship date for putting in an order at 10 AM. It leaves it open for launch day as well.
 
Fyi I would personally never send a phone back to them. I'll return all devices to a store from now on. I upgraded a V20 to the G6 when it came out and they claimed they never got the V20 in the mail and charged full price for it. Even though I have ironclad proof from the tracking info AND an automated sms saying they got it and it was all good. Rep after rep kept claiming that yes, they could see it was returned and they swore up and down the charge would be removed. It never was. Still disputing it to this day. Be warned.

I have heard horror stories like that. my coworker suffered the same fate .. funny thing though after 8 months they magically found it lol

I wanted to return at store too but someone said earlier that I can only send it in.

I've never actually done it but the guy at the att store said I could. We'll see, they lie left and right. I actually closed the account over it and am disputing the bill, but weird circumstances made att the only place I could pre-order the X from with 0 down. In a month or so I'm coming into a bit of money and I'll pay it off and close att (it's in my wife's name this time) and use the iPhone on straight talk or some other prepaid. So tired of carriers and the new throttled "unlimited" plans.

Did they give a reason for canceling?
 
I just received a second email from AT&T with the subject: “Your order is Pending” and the following in the body:

“We're sorry. We couldn't complete your order. Call us at the number below as soon as possible so we can get your order back on track.

If we don't hear from you by 11:59 p.m. ET on 11/10/2017, we'll have to cancel your order.“

So I called and the agent eventually told me she would need to cancel my order and reprocess. I asked her why and she just said that an error occurred when I placed my order. I asked for a supervisor and as soon as he comes on the line he says that he will “manually push the order through” and that I’ll receive an email in 15-30 minutes saying that my order is “back on track”. I asked him if my delivery date was still 11/3 and he said yes.

So far I haven’t received this supposed email, but my order’s status still shows In Progress, with a 11/3 delivery. I’m not holding my breath though :/
I got the same email and had to reprocess but my new date say in december even though she ensured me it would still be nov 3rd

Thanks for the phone number. I haven't gotten that text message yet but as long as the delivery date and status look okay, I probably won't call. This is really an issue with Apple and not ATT CSR reps but I have seen cases where they change something on an order an it puts you last in the queue. Probably asking for info is okay but until I see everyone else's status changing and not mine or there is an issue, I'll let sleeping dogs lie. They usually sent Next Day Air so we probably won't see movement until mid-week.

Same thing happened to me. They canceled my Nov-3 order and now I'm getting December shipping.

Same to me. Basically ATT customer reps are waste and this has been a hell of a nightmarish experience.
