Mine didn’t say either. I got the same email as yours. But the customer support said it will be added to the next bill and the order will ship on time.
This is what the bottom of my email said and the “total due” was the taxes and that’s when I called customer service and they told me, After talking to their manager that I had to go to a store to pay it.

im concerned im running into the same problem. got an email that says:

If we don't hear from you by 11:59 p.m. ET on 11/10/2017, we'll have to cancel your order.

when i called they told me there was an issue with the order and they would need to cancel and resubmit. i knew better. they told me they couldn't see what the problem was and he would get me as close to november 3 as possible but he couldn't make any promises. again, i knew better so i just hung up. the status is still showing in progress with nov.3 delivery date. im currently chatting with AT&T so we will see. i wouldn't care if i hadn't gotten up at 3am and gone all day thinking everything was good to go.
I did not receive and email like that, I got the “you’re good to go” Email but hadn’t paid my taxes so the phone wouldn’t have shipped.... literally only reason I’m mad also is because I woke up for it. Lol

Question for you guys - has anyone ever purchased an AT&T GSM iPhone in-full via Apple’s Store, but upon receiving it, taken it back to Apple to re-purchase it using AT&T Next?

I’ve heard about people “returning” their phones at Apple Stores, and re-purchasing the exact same phone using Apple’s Upgrade Program. I’m looking to do something similar, albeit with Next instead.

Just checked order status went from In progress to Preparing to ship - NOV 3 delivery date estimated!

Multiple reps said there was an issue with my "identification information" but couldn't tell me what that issue was. A reorder was the only way to fix the issue and I now have a Dec. shipping window. This is a bummer as I originally had a launch day delivery date.

I never got a confirmation email not text message for my order. It now appears on the website and shows "Order status: In progress" and Delivery by date: November 3, 2017

i thought i didn't get one either so stayed awake waiting for one until an hour past pre-order, then I realized the ATT confirmation email was in my Apple Mail Junk folder (but none of my other emails from ATT went there for some odd reason so I didn't expect that)

When did you order and What spec? i ordered at 302 AM and 64 gb space gray. You can always check order status on ATT. Prob be shipped out tomorrow or Monday and take its time to get to door step friday
 
Seems. The people on apples website are preparing to ship. And/or getting a bump in their delivery. I guess the stateside phones are being tagged to orders. Still waiting on the att orders to change

By the way, I get at&t business premier discount as work phone. Can’t believe 256G X only cost $499, with 2 years contract, which I am fine since I change phone every 2 years anyway.

Question - I’ve never used ATT Next. Always bought my phone outright. I preordered the X this morning on the 30 month NEXT plan. They never once asked for my SSN. Aren’t they supposed to run a credit check? Or is that not a thing for Next?

Always thought it was. Appreciate the feedback.

Just got this for one of my orders. I have no idea what's going on.
 
So, my iPhone X is coming next Friday and I have an iPhone 7 Plus that will need to be returned. (On ATT Next) Will I be able to bring it into an ATT retail store rather than mail it in? Also, my iPhone has a minor dent along the bottom. Do you know if this could be a problem when returning it? The phone works perfectly fine. And finally, if they don’t accept my phone, will I be able to buy out the rest of phone, which I believe is around $375.
