HELLO, please help.

Hello, I paid in full for iPhone X. But I’m still on a Next Plan using my current iPhone 7 Plus—I was going to upgrade, But I changed my mind. And planning to pay off the iPhone 7 instead and give to my MOM.

My question is when the iPhone X arrives, do I still have to pay for he *activation fee?

How does this work, do I get a SIM card in the new phone, do I switch the card out from the old phone.

If I decide to sell my 7 Plus after my X arrives instead of sending it back can I just call them and pay off the $400 I still owe on the phone?

You’re installment payments are actually separated for you on your bill and the remaining balance for each device can be viewed at any time on line.

If they didn’t charge the activation fee when you ordered, you’re good. Just pop your sim in.

I never got a confirmation email not text message for my order. It now appears on the website and shows "Order status: In progress" and Delivery by date: November 3, 2017

Sorry if this has been mentioned before. Just spoke to an att customer service rep via live chat who claimed the off contract iphone x's purchased at full price can only be unlocked after a month. Is this correct? Seems ridiculous to me.

I got the 2 confirmation e-mails but no text message and have the same status. Should be fine.

At least on the Apple site, if you select to pay the full price and proceed to the last screen, it says the phone is unlocked. If you buy it from ATT could it be different?
[doublepost=1509154494][/doublepost]I'm so psyched. I just checked my order status and it changed to "Preparing to Ship" status. I didn't expect that to happen until next week. It is a 64GB Space Gray model to be delivered on Nov. 3.
 
Got screwed, had a delivery date of Nov. 3 but did not have a credit/debit card on file. The problem is it still allowed me to checkout! Got all the right emails said I was good to go! Called customer service to see how I could pay my taxes since it had not taken them and they said I had to do it at a AT&T store. I call an AT&T and talk to the store manager and what not, I clarify that whatever she’s doing will not change my delivery date and she said yes. She said let me call you back in 5-10minutes because the computers are acting up. While this is happening I get an email about an upgrade override and my order CANCELLED and a new one created. So all in all, the store said that’s all they could do which customer service says it’s BS, and the stores (went to multiple stores after all this to get an opinion) said customer service was wrong and it was a glitch in the system and I should not have been able to check out without paying the taxes. So here I am, with a new ship date of December 4-18. To say I’m estatic is an understatement, NOT! Could not be more angry. Open case currently which I hope gets resolved. All in all, I hope y’all enjoy your phones, try not to rub it in too much

Why was a credit/debit card on file necessary? Couldn't you just manually enter one at checkout? That's what I did.

They had an option this year to add to the next bill which we did for one of the phones. No issues. Was that an option at all?

In the rush of the preorder, the credit card I had hoped to use was denied for fraud prevention so I quickly used a different one. When I get the phone, will I be able to go into an ATT store and return/rebuy the phone with the proper credit card? Anyone have any experience with this?
 
They had an option this year to add to the next bill which we did for one of the phones. No issues. Was that an option at all?
Do not believe so because I received an email that said, “you’re good to go” but showed a total due balance and when I called customer service they told me I had to pay it before the phone would ship and that’s when the whole fiasco started

Wow. That really sucks. I stayed up until launch and I couldn't get the AT&T website or app to work for 20 minutes after launch. I went to bed. When I woke up at 6:40am I tried again just for the hell of it. Went through all the steps and it gave me a Nov 3rd delivery so I went ahead and placed order.

I had the same issue. Completed preorder without being asked to input credit card info. I got two confirmation emails and text. Called AT&T this morning. They said the preorder went through without problem and the tax will be added to my next bill.

when i called they told me there was an issue with the order and they would need to cancel and resubmit. i knew better. they told me they couldn't see what the problem was and he would get me as close to november 3 as possible but he couldn't make any promises. again, i knew better so i just hung up. the status is still showing in progress with nov.3 delivery date. im currently chatting with AT&T so we will see. i wouldn't care if i hadn't gotten up at 3am and gone all day thinking everything was good to go.

Anyone get past "in progress" on the order status screen? Cautiously optimistic my Nov 3 delivery remains. Meanwhile I have an Apple.com reservation waiting for me to book....ugh.
