When chatting with someone from AT&T after placing the order, they indicated that they require a signature. I'm also wondering if it's possible to at least deliver to a store to pick it up. Would be nice to not have to leave work and hope to cross paths with the UPS/FedEx person
Really? Mine came Fedex and I had to sign for my SS Apple Watch 3. Wonder if it’s based on distribution center?
I ordered from the Apple Store website last night at about 12:10 AM after numerous tries, but I got the ATT error and a reservation. I went ahead and ordered the 65 gb space gray from ATT soon after and I got a 1-2 weeks delivery date. Now I received the reservation email saying to complete my order, but I'm not sure what that ETA is.
Should I place the reservation order on a different number and then keep the fastest order? I'm afraid I will lose them all. lol Any advice?

Same here. Mine just arrived yesterday and I had to sign for my Watch. They also wouldn't let me have the package held at the FedEx facility. They said because of how it was shipped a delivery attempt had to be made first before I could have it held
Weird, I just checked my tracking to make sure I wasn't going crazy and it does say signature not required.
they said there was an error in their system so the ordered couldn't be fixed and it had to be reprocessed
The launch day batch of phones might mostly be in the country at warehouses getting ready to ship to regional/local distribution centers first.
Due to my order issue, my shipping date changed to Dec. 4th-18th. The AT&T site currently has the shipping window at Dec. 1st-15th. Shouldn't my order have moved up to the earlier window?

Checked my order at 920pm PT, my order is for 3 iPhone X: 2 SG/64GB (10/26 @ 1156pm PT) & 1 SG/256GB (10/27 @ 1226am PT), all 3 now show "Preparing to Ship" for Nov 3rd.

I ordered at 9:05 AM ET, but nabbed a Nov 3 delivery date (somehow, luck maybe? idk). Still says "In Progress." Been checking all day for movement since then. Here's to hoping, though I have a preorder in with Apple as well for Nov 17-24 just in case AT&T doesn't make good on the Nov 3rd date for some reason. I got two emails though. One after ordering at 9:06 AM and then one more at 12:14 PM with a title "Here's an update on your order" and the email said "we're good to go!" Praying praying praying for a Preparing to Ship status maybe tomorrow? I got Silver 64GB.
I had received two emails and got the "We're good to go" email (second one). I had a "In Progress" status and an Estimated ship date of 11/2 - 11/10. When I talked to the online rep, he/she stated it was changed to 25-35 days. He/she said that due to high demand, some orders are getting their shipment dates pushed. I asked if an email would come to me with the given information. He/she did not say yes or no.
Similar situation here. I used the second phone number on the account to at least check what the ETA was from the apple reservation. It's not clear to me whether the system will allow two orders on the same phone line. I had Nov 3 in store pickup but the ETA based on the reservation came back as 2-3 weeks.
For now just decided to keep my ATT order with Nov 3 delivery. It wouldn't hurt for you to at least check the ETA and using the different number on the account is safe. You can then decide. If you are buying it outright I don't think you'll have a problem riding two orders on two different numbers on the same account.
