Carrier AT&T Pre-Order and Dispatch Thread

Yep. A few of us here at least. Got "we're good to go" email at 5:00am EST today. The order number was different from web order number at order acceptance.
Are you talking about the order number used to check the status on the website (and from the initial order confirmation after placing the preorder) and the order number in the subject of the email? In that case mine are the same
The original order number was Web Order Number: 10-XXXXXX. The "We've received you order" email early this am had a Your order number is: KXXX-XX-X (not in email title).
I've always had better luck with ATT. For the past three launches I've received through carrier and on launch day. Apple/Apple App never worked for me until close to 15-30 minutes after it was supposed to go live.
Ya it’s different for everybody. But can you do instore pickup with ATT? That’s mainly what i like with Apple. Although when there is a huge line at Apple launch day the ATt store in the Same mall usually has no line.
I never had an issue so far with ATT. I was going to do it with Apple this time but the Apple app kept saying the store was not open yet. Seems like a common problem that occurred this year.

I think it is usually FedEx if memory serves correct. But I can be mistaken.
I experienced an issue with AT&T last year during the iPhone 7 preordering process, which led me to preorder with Apple this year. I managed to get a 256GB Silver (wife) and 256 Space Gray (me) with launch day deliveries!
I ordered the same thing but one minute later. Hopefully that’s a good sign that mine might change soon!
Fedex. I confirmed with AT&T. And they said no signature would be required.
Ugh, a lot of people are getting Preparing to ship. My order page is still in progress with a delivery date of 11/03. My 2nd email also stated expected delivery day of 11/03.
Me too. I ordered a space gray 256gb. It’s preparing to ship. I have an AT&T premier account for background.
New point of reference. When ordering, the order was listed as 3:34 a.m. ET and shipping by 11/3. The email from earlier this morning saying "Preparing to Ship" has a 12/4-12/14 ship date and has a link for updates which shows order date at 4:34 a.m. ET. Lost an hour somewhere in last 24 hours, as well as month shipping.
The happened to be last year when I preordered with AT&T, despite placing the order prior to 3:01 am EST.
Yup that’s me, guess you’ll find out. AT&T screwed me before I could find out....
I got mine in at 3:35 am Central Time on AT&T after the Apple Store App wouldn’t load for me until 15 minuets after the pre order started and my pre approved iPhone Upgrade order was scheduled for delivery between 12/5-12/11
