Ordered 64GB SG, submitted at 3:04:02 a.m. ET through an upgrade option from the 6 Plus. Delivery is on 11/3. Currently at Preparing to Ship. *6737# says back ordered, so taking the advice of others and reading it as a good sign. I am also one of the few who did not have to enter payment info. Called in today to verify everything. CSR verbally confirmed my 11/3 delivery and said the taxes charge is billed to me. Will only be billed for taxes (no down payments and no upgrade fees).
Hoping Wednesday sees some movement for all the Nov. 3 delivery dates. UPS tracking through Apple orders are starting to pop up based on other threads' info with many sitting in China. Makes sense AT&T simply does it differently.
Aside to pass the time:
Friend is switching from T-Mobile to a friend's AT&T family plan to save money. His new bill will be ~$50 a month for the 64GB phone and line of service, order placed today. T-Mobile individual was $80 alone for the ONLY individual plan they have and their required deposit is insane. T-Mobile in store employee said even if he had absolutely perfect credit, they'd still require ~65% deposit to upgrade to the new X. After comparing the T-Mobile vs AT&T experience, I'm confused as to why anyone would elect to use T-Mobile unless their area just absolutely requires it. T-Mobile's business model makes no sense considering the iPhone gained success by letting you pay through your phone bill. They will lose a customer in December as soon as his arrives from AT&T and he turns it on. No telling how many they lose each launch year either.
