My sisters Silver is being shipped out before my Space Gray. If I knew that was the case, I’d have gone with Silver too.

I haven't seen anyone report AT&T orders showing as shipped. Sources?

So, I'm curious if anyone has been reading any reports anywhere on this but I'm curious about a couple things related to AT&T's new method of preordering. First, how I did it was I logged into my account and left it at the upgrade page at 9:00pm central. Set my alarm and came back about 1:50am and the screen was now on the AT&T count-down Iphone X preorder page and jumped right to the count-down at 2:00am. It said it was holding my queue and I had a 4 minute wait. I never touched the screen-no refreshes. Ordered and done with a confirming email at 2:09.

It seems to me that AT&T's method of telling me I was in a queue and showing me a timer kept me from killing their network with refreshes. The question I have is whether my logging in early and leaving it there put me higher in queue and/or not refreshing the page kept me in a better position. It seemed to work very smooth to me, but I see others had a number of issues with their place in queue being cancelled and other delays. I wonder if refreshing was one of the problems for them. Or possibly having multiple pages open under the same account in different queues was screwing things up for them?

BTW, I did the same thing with Apple.com, both on my computer and on my iphone. Didn't get into the apple store on either until at least 15-20 minutes after launch

Can you describe the "movement" on your order you see? if you mean "Preparing to Ship", that is listed for orders not shipping out until December.

I wish I could say that was my issue. I wasn't even doing my preorder right when the site opened, it was hours after that when I couldn't get through with Apple. I still had a shipping window from AT&T of Nov. 2-10 almost 4 hours after it opened. The problem is that AT&T overpromised, underdelivered, and failed to communicate with their customers properly when there were errors within their system. If I hadn't followed up and done due diligence then I would be SOL.

Has anyone with 64gb sg gone to preparing for shipment yet?

I’m still waiting. Placed my order for a 64gb SG at 3:15 am EST. Received both emails but no text. Still shows as being in progress with a delivery by date of November 3rd

256GB Silver checking in as well. 3:22AM EST order time has already been at "Preparing to ship" for a day or two, with "Delivery by date" that has never changed from 11/3/17.

Very glad I happened to also have the AT&T window open on pre-order night as Apple really screwed me by not letting me get through to the pre-order page from either browser or app on iPad & phone until like 3:20. Really like the virtual AT&T queue as well. Been burnt by AT&T before but this looks promising.

A question to those who do AT&T pre-orders regularly: They DO ship via FedEx? Is there a similar way to the UPS hold at customer center process in which to hold at the FedEx center for early AM pickup? Thanks! Will be tracking in this thread regularly now and providing updates...

I think AT&T's order system moves to "Preparing to Ship" way before it ships. Not to rain on anyones parade, but that status does not always correlate to a nearby date...

What is your order confirmation time stamp? and what region are you in?

1219 and 1239am. Northern CA. Nov3rd ship date

The guy above me has “preparing to ship” with a december ship date lol. Yea i wouldn’t put too much faith in ATT’s order status for now.

ATT is very strange sometimes. When i preordered the airpods, they went to backorder with a 2 month date To order canceled and then all of a sudden i received them the very next day in the mail with zero notification. They also didnt charge me for them for like 2 months.

Haven't seen many post cases like that. You may be getting it early even though the expected delivery date hasn't changed yet. From past years preorders, from preparing to ship, it'll go to shipped on Wed or Thursday. Most likely Thursday but you may get a Fedex Alert on Wed if they print the label earlier.

Ordered SG256 3:04 central. Mine is "Still In Progress" with shipping between 11/2 - 11/10.
