Odd how it'd be backordered if it went through before launch and there are people showing preparing for shipment after me. Unless it's the model/color thats reliant.

Any device that is not currently in the warehouse is considered back-ordered. So until Thursday your iPhone X is in back-order status when the bulk shipment arrives from China to the warehouse.

So if it is in Preparing to Ship, that means your actions are all complete and AT&T has completed all processing steps and your order can no longer be modified or cancelled before it ships from the warehouse.

If anyone have plans to call to E-com deparment and tell them to not use USPS in Puerto Rico, I will appreciate.

Hope they send it through Fedex or UPS.

USPS are running with more than two weeks of delay >.<

AT&T's order status system is quirky...every year it's like this. Here's a perfect example:

I ordered at 3:31am EST (256gb space grey). Side note: I have a business account, so I did my order through the AT&T Premier site. If I follow the "check your order status" link off my confirmation email, it says "In Progress" and shows my correct order time with "Deliver by date: November 3, 2017".

Now if I use the "check order status" link off the att.com main site, it says my order was placed at 6:31am EST, is "In progress" and my estimated shipping time is between 12/4 and 12/18.

So I get hugely conflicting information, depending on how I check my order status. I does make me worry though....I didn't get my confirmation emails until 11:47am the morning after ordering. So I wondering if my order sat in a queue until around that time and didn't actually get confirmed at 3:31am.

Is anyone else getting a different shipping estimate when they use the main site order status link versus the link in the confirmation email??

I have the same issue. 256gb SG ordered via apple (ATT, non premier) is delivering 11/3. Same phone ordered via premier the day BEFORE (went up on our corp site on Thursday) showed me a 11/2-11/10 shipping date via email but the att.com order status shows 12/4-12/18 and shows it has changed from Nov and wants me to confirm. I don't have a link i can check dynamically, my order history still shows 11/2-11/10, but it's just a static order page and the date doesn't autoupdate.

I also got an email right around 11:37 morning after. I wonder the same thing as we aren't actually ordering but sending our order over to a premier team that does the order for us.

It happens this way every year. 6 Plus wasn't scheduled to ship till after thanksgiving the year it came out. Frustrating.

Anyone know if the phones could be shipping DHL? I received a voicemail today from DHL informing me of a delivery on Thursday. When I looked up the tracking number that was given me it shows it’s a package coming in from Singapore. The only thing I could think it would be is my iPhone X.

The bulk orders will be leaving China later today to arrive in Fort Worth, Tx by Thursday morning and be turned around and shipped out for overnight delivery on Friday 11/2.

There are more than likely phones staged in the US already. Same as last year because many people didn’t track from China using reference numbers.

Unless there is a “delivered by Nov. 3rd” statement, I wouldn’t get your hopes up. Ships by Nov 2-10 may mean it’s shipping out of China in that time frame...

I have the Nov. 3rd date from AT&T and I’m still only 70% committed to seeing it on Friday.

We’re in the same window. After getting the reservation message from Apple after many error messages and refreshes my husband told me he was so annoyed he didn’t care if he got it anymore. I couldn’t sleep so I ended up on the att website a couple of hours later and got a SG 64 for him at 5:58 EDT. Later that day he received a text saying it was preparing to ship, but online it still says in progress for 11/2-10.

Dame same thing happen here ordered at 5:13 for a sg 64gb iphone x and got the nov-2 to 10 dates status still in progress... should change by Wednesday I hope

Crazy - my Verizon and Apple purchased iPhone X’s have already shipped and AT&T still says preparing to ship. Wonder what there hold up is? Still says will deliver by Nov 3rd though.

AT&T normally doesn't ship until the day before the scheduled launch because they all ship overnight delivery from Fort Worth, TX... at least thats how its been in prior years.

Is ATT requiring a signature upon delivery? For the last 3 phones I’ve pre ordered through them UPS/FEDEX just left them between my storm and front door. No sig required.

FedEx just leaves the package at your doorstep with no signature required.

It will if your order indicates Nov. 3 Delivery. If your order indicates Nov. 2-10, it might be updated to Nov. 3 based on actual inbound inventory allocations. Either way you should receive one or more additional emails with updates.

Just chatted with an At&T rep, and he confirmed that my phone will ship on Nov 2nd for a Nov 3rd Delivery. I ordered a IPX SG 64. I asked if he knew the shipping company, and he said no he doesn't have that info yet.
